I've read a lot of really harsh reviews on this one, mostly saying that the movie fails to depict the historical frame of '60s Paris but in my opinion they are missing an important thing: this movie feels far more of a comedy rather than drama (you could say french styled comedy) and addingI've read a lot of really harsh reviews on this one, mostly saying that the movie fails to depict the historical frame of '60s Paris but in my opinion they are missing an important thing: this movie feels far more of a comedy rather than drama (you could say french styled comedy) and adding all the sadness that Franco's dictatorship brought to Spain, the hard condition of laborers and so on, would have changed the bitter-sweetness of this movie into disappointing sadness.
That said, the plot is pretty straight forward and totally enjoyable and this movie purposely steers away from any kind of political or ethical judgement about anything.
Again, a very light french styled comedy that claims to be nothing more than that, totally worth watching.…Expand
