This is not, in the end, a tale of hubris brought low, or even of a tacky life staring down a long lens at a tawdry, dwindling death. Instead it’s a chilling parable about the sins of the father becoming the punishments of the son, and about the moral arc of the universe bending, across generations, toward the coldest justice imaginable. Rimini tinha todo potencial para ser um filme lírico ao retratar um cantor famoso em decadência, que aproveita a velhice cantando em espécies de cabarés baratos, bebendo, usando drogas e transando com várias mulheres, numa clara tentativa de representar o idoso que ainda tenta manter seuRimini tinha todo potencial para ser um filme lírico ao retratar um cantor famoso em decadência, que aproveita a velhice cantando em espécies de cabarés baratos, bebendo, usando drogas e transando com várias mulheres, numa clara tentativa de representar o idoso que ainda tenta manter seu estilo de vida. Tema essencial num mundo onde a expectativa de vida só aumenta, e se discute muito os ramos que essa longevidade pode causar.
Mas independente da proposta, o filme entrega um retrato mais cru e realístico, e talvez meio apelativo em grande parte da sua projeção. São várias cenas de sexo, meio contidos também, porém excitantes o suficiente, com direito a nu frontal masculino.
Por alguma razão, "Richie Bravo" é um ser muito simpático, já que sua concepção recuoera estilos de vida jovens e tenta reaplicá-los em sua vida na terceira idade, e o roteiro conseguiu, de forma nem um pouco sutil, fazer surgir uma filha do passado para mostrar que aquele cara é carregado de história de vida.
Tudo muito louvável, mas ainda assim nada mergulhado para além do superficial. Se por um lado a direção está boa, por outro o roteirista teve completa displicência aqui. Continuamos sem entender direito aquele homem e vendo muitas cenas aleatórias do seu cotidiano.
Então, o jeito é aceitar que é um filme para se deliciar com cenas intimistas (e íntimas) do protagonista em busca de si, muito mais do que dele em relação ao meio. Confesso que esperava mais, porém, para quem teve experiência similar, talvez consiga desenvolver um pouco mais de empatia.… Expand
