Paul Anderson (Event Horizon) returns to the franchise he created for the first time since the original. The results are aesthetically astounding but slightly hollow. For the first time in the series it seems as though characters are simplyPaul Anderson (Event Horizon) returns to the franchise he created for the first time since the original. The results are aesthetically astounding but slightly hollow. For the first time in the series it seems as though characters are simply added for a higher body count than having a real purpose. That being said it's a hell of a lot of fun especially if you turn off your brain. There are some truly dynamic scenes, the slow mo shower battle is gorgeous and enthralling. This time around the clones descend upon umbrella and are quickly disposed of and Alice looses her power and becomes human. She searches for Claire and the gang but stumbles upon a new gang at a prison that includes sexy Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) and gorgeous Boris Kodjoe (Addicted). The zombie army rages outside with some new mutations afoot while they try and escape to a supposed safe facility called Arcadia. The movie is fast and fun and ultra stylish. It's a step down story wise from Extinction but it's much prettier.

When I first watched it I didn't even notice how many films I wrote off from "Neo" and the Wachowski sisters.
Well, who passed the time test and who was forgotten and abandoned.

It's not good, but if you manage to having not seen the previous ones, I found some enjoyment in it. As a fan of the games, I'm glad that it doesn't completely destroy their characters (Wesker does get a pretty lame moment, but he's still aIt's not good, but if you manage to having not seen the previous ones, I found some enjoyment in it. Мало того что интеллектом все герои явно не блещут, так ещё и злодей омежнотупой : сначала уворачивается от пуль, потом тупо принимает в голову нож, потом , опа, он улетел на вертолете . Лучше бы посмотрел полтора часа в окно.… Expand

I enjoyed this part more than the third one. Casting and acting was good. Plot was was little better. Horror and jump elements were nill. There is one problem with this franchise; the things keep repeating again and again. Due to this, soI enjoyed this part more than the third one. Casting and acting was good. Resident Evil Afterlife: Why can’t one of these be decent. Probably one of the ugliest movies I have seen in my life, this was 2010 Avatar came out in 2009 and looked amazing and then this came out. Probably one of the ugliest movies I have seen in my life, this was 2010 Avatar came out in 2009 and looked amazing and then this came out. I can’t even begin to describe how ugly it looks from the the first action scene alone when Alice is using her power in Umbrella I’ve seen Indonesian movies with better CGI then this movie. But the worst part of all is how slow and boring it is there is one particular part in the movie when Alice finds Claire and she has memory loss all of a sudden she remembers everything, a Michael Bay movie has less plot holes than this. If I was just a movie goer not a diehard Resident Evil game fan then maybe it could be less bad but since I’m a fan this should make a fan bored. This movie could be great if it wasn’t for the worst plot in this franchise, looks worse than the 2002 original, have boring bland characters, having more plot holes then a Michael Bay movie and just be a bad movie in general. I have only given one movie a certain ranking but this movie is second to get this award. Also starting a new thing where I give a raking from Masterpiece, Amazing, Good, Man of Steel aka Bad, or Toilet Paper. Never watch this movie. Ranking Toilet Paper.… Expand
