It's a cute little film that gets the job done.

I was expecting Hollywood/Disney/Whoever to do what they usually do, exploit kids to cover for lousy screenwriting by making the kid character do all kinds of irrational crap because no oneIt's a cute little film that gets the job done.

I was expecting Hollywood/Disney/Whoever to do what they usually do, exploit kids to cover for lousy screenwriting by making the kid character do all kinds of irrational crap because no one could come up with a logical reason for characters to do stupid things. Instead I got a film where the kid is pretty cool and it's the adults who are kind of screwed up and the story succeeds regardless because it's a little like Rocky and you have to root for the underdog, especially when the opposition bears some vague resemblance to Ming the Merciless, or Fu Manchu, and there's all kinds of hints that he's going to cheat somehow, inscrutably, though we never really find out if he did, or how.

The acting is fine all around. My main complaint [SPOILER ALERT] is that I get the impression that no one associated with the entire sport of robot fighting actually knows anything about boxing, or martial arts, except Hugh Jackman's character. Everyone else is just slugging away, using their robots' fists like sledgehammers, though I must admit the FX guys did keep me watching the fights, nonetheless.

Fortunately, it's not all about the fights.… Expand

Here " Real Steel " where is Hugh Jackman , and modern robot boxing match . jaj ! It has possibly been a good idea but a little interesting process , but fighting robots has been more interesting to finish .

What a very inspiring movie about a father and son relationship. It also offers a lot of great lessons. I truly enjoyed watching this film, plus the fact that Jackman is always hot.

I have personally outgrew this film. The movie's just basically Rocky with Transformers over it. This isn't my type of taste in movies anymore as I find better movies to watch.

Extremely disappointing I came into this film expecting robots boxing each other as Hugh Jackman acts as a manager,instead I got a infuriating kid,a uninterested Hugh Jackman and horribly done fights. Would not recommend.

El mensaje de esta película es conmovedor y la trama es excelente. Los efectos son impresionantes y los actores lo hacen muy bien. Puede ser cliché pero a mi me encanto y es una de mis películas favoritas, la disfruto mucho cada vez que la veo.

This movie is predictable but awesome. Evangeline Lilly gives such a great performance. No matter what you think of Lost, this movie established her as a real actress. Dakota was good too. They both carry the rest of the cast.

Real Steel. Metal Rocky. Cool, family-friendly and fun movie to watch in the evening. Dakota Goyo, playing Max, comes off to the fullest, and attracts all the attention. No offense to Hugh Jackman. Robots are very cool and their fights are just wow!

Gigantes de Acero no es para nada mala, contando con buenos efectos especiales, una historia bastante simple pero que funciona y presenta sus pequeños giros (que tampoco es que sean la gran cosa, pero hacen que no se torne tan predecible), y sorprendentemente resulta ser bastante entrenida. Solo le critico dos cosas: Primero, Atom esta super OP. A pesar de ser un robot sacado del basurero, sin meterle mejoras ni nada pudo como si nada con rivales mas fuertes que el, ademas de que claramente decían que era un robot de entrenamiento, que no devolvía los golpes con fuerza. Y segundo, a duras penas cuentan en una escena como se originaron las peleas de robots, pero ya. Debió de haber profundizado un poco mas en eso.
En resumen es bastante entretenida y con eso en cierta medida contrarresta lo simple o predecible que a veces se puede llegar a poner.… Expand
