The film follows the story of Remy, a rat with a passion for cooking, who dreams of becoming a chef in a top Parisian restaurant. The characters are well-developed, and the voice acting is top-notch, with Patton Oswalt delivering a standout performance as Remy.

The film's visuals are stunning, with every detail in the animation capturing the beauty and charm of Paris. The food, in particular, is gorgeously rendered, and the scenes in the kitchen are a feast for the eyes. The film's score, composed by Michael Giacchino, perfectly complements the visuals, creating a whimsical and magical atmosphere.

What makes Ratatouille truly special is its universal message about following your dreams, regardless of what others may say or think. The film inspires and uplifts its viewers, leaving them feeling both entertained and deeply moved. Overall, Ratatouille is a true masterpiece and a must-see for anyone who appreciates great storytelling and animation. A perfect 10/10.

Ratatouille is wonderful story about food, love and possibilities. The main character is Remy. He is a resident of Paris who has quite a sophisticated palate.  He would love to become a chef. The only problem is, Remy is a rat. Is his dream not destined to come true? This is a film about a rat who becomes a chef in Paris. But it's so much more than that. It's about what a great artist can be, where a great artist can come from, it's about food and how to savour it.
That movie is the best creation from Pixar. Animation, musical accompaniment and visual - everything looks great. I am ready to review this masterpiece forever!

While not as laugh-out-loud funny as the two Toy Story films, it is definitely one of the better Pixars, and a complete delight from start to finish. Honestly, the whole family will find it just as delightful as I did, and the film has a great message "a great cook can come from anywhere", summed up perfectly by Anton Ego. The story was highly original, if a little slow at the beginning, and deliciously engaging up to the last minute, and the animation was just spellbinding. The script, while not as irreverent as Toy Story, was very entertaining and touching, and I loved the characters- everyone was likable and unique, but what made Remy stand out for me was because he was so adorable, and his voice actor did a delightful job voicing him. The voice cast were very talented, and all did a superb job, especially Peter O'Toole in a marvellous turn as the "nasty" food critic Anton Ego. All in all, a brilliant film, that fully succeeded in what it promised to do, to make us want to cook. 8.5/10 Bethany Cox. Expand

We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto, "Anyone can cook." But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist; but a great artist *can* come from *anywhere*. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more."- This quote is so powerful even today. that is all. Expand

Consigliato? Assolutamente.

We risk little and have power over those who offer their work and service in our judgment. We thrive on negative reviews that are fun to write and read. But the sad truth that we must face is that in the great order of things, any garbage has more meaning than what our criticism reveals.
But sometimes the critic does take a risk every time he discovers and defends something new. The world is often cruel to new talent. The new creations, the new, need friends. Last night, I experienced something new. An extraordinary dinner from a unique and unexpected source. To say only that food and its creator have challenged my prejudices about good cooking would underestimate reality. They have touched me to the core.

As we hear several times in the film, everyone can cook, the same goes for other activities. You can't stop pursuing your hobby just because people around you don't like it. Just follow your goal. In other words, the overall idea of the film is absolutely brilliant, so maybe I don't even have to explain how excellent the story is. The soundtrack is literally a paradise for the ears and this overall setting in France is simply a delight. One of the best movies ever. Expand

Yeah, it's strange, but surprisingly this movie works very well, and I love it. Ratatouille is another charming PIXAR film with more great characters, a fun concept, and incredible dialogue with really funny and emotional moments. This movie never feels dull and is surprisingly entertaining for a movie about rats. It's impossible not to get hungry while watching this movie because the food and everything else is animated beautifully. Comparing the animation of the humans in this movie and the Incredibles is funny but crazy because of the number of improvements in just a few years. Personally, the score for this movie is what I feel is Giacchino's best. The Incredibles' score may be more flashy but I love this score more than any of his others. Ratatouille is another great family film from PIXAR and is often overlooked. Go check this one out or rewatch it, you'll be happy you did. Expand

Incredible
Remember how everyone was talking about Toy Story when it first came out? The incredible visuals, unique style, vividly imagined world? The next time people were talking that way with such enthusiasm about a computer animated movie was Finding Nemo. I'm excited to say that Ratatouille will be the next one to redefine the visual creativity and technical detail of computer animated movies. Honest to goodness, I was awestruck by the animation, and that never happens to me. It is a visual masterpiece of a movie if ever the term applies.

The next thing to talk about is the "genre" of the movie. As Pixar enthusiasts will tell you, Brad Bird, the director of Ratatouille, also directed The Incredibles, which has the most inspired and creative action sequences from any of the Pixar movies. Ratatouille, while not so straightforward with its action, has almost as much as The Incredibles did, in unique ways. Most memorable is the shotgun scene near the beginning. (You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it). Other than that, this is the expected comedy-with-heart movie from Pixar that so many have grown to love.

The voice acting? Spot on. Every voice is distinctive, and it never feels like a celebrity's voice tacked on to a character (Shrek, I'm looking at you), it feels like the characters themselves speaking. You can't ask for more from voice acting.

And finally, the script and the story. The entire irony of the story -- a street rat with a passion for fine food -- is beautiful, and a tight, smart, wonderful script flows from this. The pacing of the story is odd and choppy at places, but this is a very forgivable grievance. The only other minor fault is that a few of the dramatic one-liners feel a bit forced. Other than that, this is the most layered, complex, and satisfying script from Pixar since The Incredibles.

Overall, I recommend that everyone see this movie when it hits theaters (I was lucky enough to see a pre-release screening). Though not perfect, it is an animated masterpiece in true Pixar form with breathtaking animation and visual design.

A ost é igualmente bonita.

¿Can everyone cook? Of course. ¿Is cooking like composing a symphony? Naturally. This is the history of a rat with highly senses that, inspired by its idol, wants to develop a soul kitchen. This pixar big shot is a king own feast. Guten appetit.

Some of my favourite films are animated as they can get the balance perfect between kid's enjoyment and adult enjoyment. Ratatouille breaks this rule yet still is my favourite Pixar film to date. It feels a lot more like an adult film than any other of Pixar's work. We very rarely see human characters act in everyday life and using terminology that they would use in their specific jobs in an animated film. While yes, it does feature a talking rat, it feels real with the restaurant atmosphere, the dialogue and the pacing to make an awe-inspiring experience. I do not need to talk about the animation as we know Pixar so therefore, it's going to look gorgeous. However, many of the film's strengths are its story and characters. While Remmy and Linguine are fine, Anton Ego is truly a masterful personification of a critic and his monologue in the end is so brilliant, that I learnt it off by heart. Ratatouille is one of the most underrated films ever made and I wish people re-watched it and experience a film, which is in my top 10 favourite films ever made. 10/10- Stolow Expand

Bonjour! This is seriously one of the best Pixar films ever, let's review this. Shall we?

The story is pretty great and simple, it's about a Remy, a rat, dreaming to become a chef, but with a stroke of luck and lots of courage, he sees the opportunity to pursue it with the help of garbage boy Linguini. The visuals are really stunning, and the music is memorable and it brilliantly catches the theme of France. In the movie, the food looked so appetizing and the way how they cooked it, it definitely makes you hungry. While not focused too much on humor, this movie is really worth watching.

This movie is a culinary experience worth watching, from good characters to dramatic emotions shown in the movie, this is really one of the best Pixar films out there, backed up with superb vibrant visuals that really matches the theme of France. Hmm... The score for this is... 9.5 (9).

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

To see and see again simply by the fact that changing your mind does not always mean "going back" (the memory of a ratatouille that brings back childhood for the "critic") sometimes it also makes progress (today it's no longer the same person who makes it, but is it really a person?) To be hard or simply a demolisher is worth it when we can all succeed smoothly? If your dream is to become a cook then do it and it does not matter your dream .. Magical and Beautiful!

This one is a silly kids' film lacking any real sense of pathos. The main character hardly even dwells on the death of his entire community before he gets excited about working in a restaurant. Meanwhile, the main human is almost totally devoid of any personality, and the main female human (who personality is Strawman Feminist) is inexplicably in love with him.

The little things are better than the whole: the visualization of taste, the gloomy critic.

I honestly wonder if this did so well among the critics because this movie ends by demeaning critics who write negative reviews.

In order to do so, he decides to ally with a young but incompetent cook. Directed by Jan Pinkava and Brad Bird, which also provides the script, it has voice actors like Brad Garrett, Peter O'Toole and Patton Oswalt.

This film is good, but it would have never been able to stand out without its adorable protagonist. The script works well, but is more complex than usual in children's films, which makes it more appealing to older audiences (from nine or ten years). The voice actors are good and have done a work without errors, as well as the animators, who filled with realism each scene. Designed for fun, it doesn't seek to convey great moral maxims and has scenes able to get the audience to tears of laughter. The soundtrack fulfills her role without stand out.

Fun in the ideal measure, a little more adult than usual, original and captivating, this film will probably stay in the memory for having one of the most visually lovable characters of modern animated films.

Just the colors and designs of the food are incredibly well done, and add that to charming characters that leave you both laughing out loud, but cheering and whooping for them, and that is a testament to Pixar's genius. Anybody can make movies and be an artist, but it is up to every individual critic to recognize them, and Pixar shows once again that they are of the highest class time and time again. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What can I say more? Ratatouille is playful cinema at its best, boasting with terrific voice-over performances, especially how Peter O'Toole invested his charismatic voice into the cold, bitter Anton Ego. I watched Ratatouille once when I was 8, and after another 7 years, this move still had this awe to it. It is on surface a rather simple story, but the content was so infused with the wit of asking us, the audiences, questions. The dynamics between Remy and Linguini were at first not quite right. They are both people who struggles to gain identity, one as a rat, and one as a young man who has limited talents for cooking. They connect together because they both can find something they need to survive. Therefore, Remy gained an identity, and Linguini became a big shot in the French culinary circle. The price of fame became crystal clear that none of them wanted this. They don't need to pretend as other people to feel better of themselves, and this exploration of their own personal identities, were handled with much sophistication. Anton Ego's self-revelation of how he would defend the new, was probably one of the best speeches from Pixar movies. All the characters of this movie were well thought, Anton Ego and Skinner could have been a boring villain, but Brad Bird made them feel like real people. They all have their struggles, but Ratatouille, will all the beautiful music composed by Michael Giacchino, still remains one of the greatest animated movies of all time. Expand
