I rate a documentary in part based upon the value of the information that it provides. This film circumnavigates the globe to show the viewer the horrendous impact of plastic upon modern man. This film circumnavigates the globe to show the viewer the horrendous impact of plastic upon modern man. There is no way as yet for people to gauge the impact that plastic has had upon their lives. We go through life literally bathed in plastic every single day. Yet, we have no clear understanding of what this is doing to our health. The fact that the global plastics industry works so relentlessly to block or refute studies that show that the constant daily exposure to plastics is very bad for us, should make us all wonder what data is being hidden. Given the slow degradation rate of plastic, this problem gets worse every day that you are alive. Perhaps if the plastics industry was more honest, mankind would have developed safe alternatives and the problem would be getting better over time. We do in fact now live on a plastic covered planet. It is too bad that far too many people can see a problem that is already coursing through their very bodies.…Expand
