Summary: A tale of how far a mother will go for the sake of her children.

Mom is a tough, dark, interesting but unsatisfying film. On the one hand it lacks the subtlety that its subject matter could have addressed and on the other hand it can't live up to the psychological drama it tackles, and the moments it explores in the thriller realm.

I couldn't say it's a mix gone wrong, but the balance is bad.
The film doesn't get lost, but it did, however, cause me to feel a sense of fatigue due to its slow progress and more than excessive length.

As far as I can tell it's worth a look, but the satisfaction with these results belongs to each viewer.… Expand
