This is a wonderfully sympathetic, deeply felt and tenderly funny family drama with a novelistic attention to details and episodes – a little like Alfonso Cuáron’s Roma, about growing up in a similar era in Mexico City. Above all, there is the generous, often mischievous performance by Cámara, with a promisingly vivid juvenile lead from Nicolas Reyes as young Quinín, and a nice ensemble buzz from other family members, including Patricia Tamayo as mother Cecilia; otherwise it all comes across as a fondly soft-focus blur. Um filme sensível, que em certos aspectos lebra o "Aftersun" ao focar na relação do menino com o pais, mas aqui esse universo é expandido em mais de uma linha do tempo e no espaço, especialmente em Medellín, Colômbia.
O filme acompanha a vida de Héctor (Javier Cámara), um médico deUm filme sensível, que em certos aspectos lebra o "Aftersun" ao focar na relação do menino com o pais, mas aqui esse universo é expandido em mais de uma linha do tempo e no espaço, especialmente em Medellín, Colômbia.
O filme acompanha a vida de Héctor (Javier Cámara), um médico de influência universitária que também defende a bandeira dos direitos humanos. A relação com seu filho e suas filhas é um achado no filme, que longe de se tornar piegas, tornou-se orgânico à obra, pois além do sentimentalismo envolvido, vamos percebendo o quanto a figura daquele pai impactou na vida e nas escolhas de vida dos jovens, em especial no filho. Ou seja, em nenhum momento essa relação soou gratuita ou desproposital.
O filme inteiro é filmado meio que sob tensão, pois sabemos que, por várias autoridades, o trabalho de Héctor não é bem visto numa Medellín tomada pela corrupção e pelas forçar repressivas do Estado. Ainda assim seus filhos são capazes de crescer e de sonhar, mesmo que os pais tentem o cercar de todo o amor e afeto possível.
É claro que uma hora ou outra a bomba irá de estourar, e assi acontece de forma mais natural possível. O filme conta com uma criação e atmosfera que, mesmo construída enquanto caricatura às vezes, passa a sensação de real perigo ou de risco iminente, o que é ótimo para sua atmosfera.
Ao final, ficamos com a sensação que que não apenas somos vulneráveis e impotentes, mas que somos memórias, eternas lembranças, mesmo se estamos em vida, influenciamos pessoas por aquilo que falamos ou aquilo que conseguimos introjetar em suas mentes.
Hector é apenas uma parte da lembrança daquelas crianças, que tentou protegê-las, e de fato não sabemos se ele foi bem sucedido, talvez em parte sim pois percebemos, no filho crescido por exemplo, muito de sua personalidade.
É um filme mais contemplativo sobre os impactos das relações familiares, e por estar muito bem atuado tanto no universo adulto quanto no universo infantil, vale muito a pena a conferida. Não espere um enredo linear: há muito de crônica e aleatoriedade da construção da história, o que por si já é uma grande metáfora sobre a vida.… Expand
