I did not have great expectations for this movie and I found myself immersed in watching it. It does not just give you boxing but includes a very nice introspective on Manny the person. I really enjoyed it. A HIT in my books!
It´s a good bio pic if you know the boxer Manny and wanna remember his past. But i think reading wikipedia will be more resourceful and quickly. Can´t believe Liam neeson narrated this.....man.....he is every where.
Manny is a short minded, dumb look in the boxer's life. A movie that could have so much to it, Manny bores rather than inform. His ambitions are overlooked and forgotten in the runtime, when the film focuses on the fight rather than the person itself. With a solid narrative by Liam Neeson and some engaging fight scenes, it could work for his fans. Problem is, it delivers barley half of fan service.
