One of the all-time greats that often is forgotten when putting together those best-of-the-80s lists. Sheen is terrific, but Corey Haim really does highly original and sympathetic work. The movie may dwell a bit too much on the bugs, but hey - he's a nerdy kid. It has aged in its now classic 80's cliches and tropes, but "Lucas" is an all-around sweet high school flick- bolstered by the once-promising acting talents of the late Corey Haim.
