The story of Kenny Sailors is one that all basketball lovers must know. The overall production of the movie was fantastic, viewers are quickly drawn into the fascinating story of this man's life and all he did for the great sport of basketball. A great movie and a must-watch for all sports lovers.

Imagine my surprise when I sat down to watch a sports documentary and ended up crying at the end! A powerful portrayal of a truly great man. I wish I could have know Kenny Sailor, but I'm just glad I got this glimpse into his amazing life.

Kenny Sailors belongs in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, period. However, I learned more about humility and sacrifice in this film than I did basketball. The story of Kenny Sailors transcends his major impact on the sport of basketball and moves into the beauty of what makes us human. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Jumpshot is a documentary that covers a man with a very long and interesting life. The subject matter alone is enough to entertain, yet the style and pacing are expertly done as well. The film doesn’t drag, it moves into each stage of Kenny Sailors’ life with a brisk pace, yet gives each aspect importance. The interviews are fun and engaging, Sailors’ commentary is moving and he has a lot of charisma. There are occasional partially animated segments that lend a bit of uniqueness to the style of the film. The narrative of giving a man who had a huge impact on the modern game of basketball more credit and recognition is well executed and gives the film a feeling of importance. Really, I wish it was a little longer and covered more of his life in Alaska, maybe with one or two more anecdotes from Sailors. However, that simply tells you how much fun this documentary is and how interesting a person Kenny Sailors is.… Expand
