OUA qu’elle claque !!! Des effets nombreux, bien réalisés et malgré ce qu'on pourrait penser des effets réalistes vis-à-vis du point de vue scénario; qui est maintenu tout le film. Quelle claque de voir un film qui tient tant à mettre la mythologie égyptienne au cœur de son discours et en respecté les codes ou histoire (dépend de ce que vous été).
Une histoire d'amour en façade, mais une profondeur bienvenue, mettant en scène les deux façade de l’Égypte[spoiler] (Mort-Vivant) [/spoiler] , des dieux [spoiler] de métal pour en faire des machines de guerre [/spoiler] , mais entre nous tellement bien de voire les poings fusé et la puissance des coups brisés du bâtiment.
De bon acteur, et retrouvé un Lanister est un plaisir émoticône smile
Un bon film qui a le mérite de faire passé certain message qui déplairont, mais m'on plus. Je simplifierais par un film rebelle assumé ! Un film qui en vaut la chandelle émoticône wink… Expand

Senaryo olarak kötüden öteye geçemeyen fakat bunları oyuncular ve görsellik ile örtmeye çalıştığı Film gerçekten çok kötü. Ra uzayda su çekiyor ya olaya bakar mısın? Gerçekten rezalet.

I expected to like this, but I was very wrong. The story was slow, boring, and had plot holes. The special effects were bad also, the green screen was obvious. The actors were bad too, and they were not Egyptian even! It was very bad.

Subpar acting, laughable CGI, and a less then interesting plot. Hell, even the action scenes were boring. I can't really find a singe thing that I actually enjoyed about this movie. Rating-9%

Nice movie, I enjoyed it all time and cgi were nice too. For those whinners who claim more non-white people in Egypt, just take a little excerse and watch the egyptian pictograms and they'll found all anthropomorphic gods were white and withNice movie, I enjoyed it all time and cgi were nice too. It is an absolute sin that this movie has of high as a user rating as a 4.5. Let that sink in a moment. Avoid this movie forever!!! Terrible, terrible garbage!

Untangling good from wrong about this movie is not an easy task. Women are only there for us to look at their bodies. Women are only there for us to look at their bodies. Heroin always appears with a vertiginous cleavage while wide-angle shots allows us to constantly have it on sight. She wears the same outfit even when she appears to be in a totally warmless and dark locations. And it goes the same way for the other significant woman, the goddess of Love. Let's put that on the account of Egypt, this warm country... But this doesn't excuse the fact that the goddess of Love is more the goddess of Seduction and sexuality. Hopefully her role goes a bit further than to be a marvelous plant.

Casting is awesome. I read a lot of complaints about the fact that there was not enough black characters. That's not a problem to me since Egyptians aren't black in general. It remains interesting to encounter Chadwick Boseman in the cast since it is (according to Metacritic) one of the worst movies in which he appeared.

In overall dialogues are awful. All what comes out of the mouths of protagonists is flat and badly exposed. I stopped the count of useless and lame 'punchlines' thrown by the heroes at the middle of the movie. Eighty to ninety percent of jokes are made from garbage and/or childish. The feeling of constantly hearing too many dumb dialogues and interjections didn't quit me during the whole movie.

The work on Egyptian mythology is awesome and correct as far as I know it. The interest to names, locations and powers repartition is great. Scenario is interesting even if not crazy-original. There are some scenaristic inconsistencies as in the Sphinx's part. Relationships between gods and humans are really strange. We can qualify it as a dominance relation but it changes little by little without any explanation.

Atmosphere, landscapes, decors and costumes are gorgeous. These are the total strength of the movie. Special effects and their quality didn't shocked me that much. If you watch this thing you have to find it in 1080p. It is simply beautiful. I surprisingly found a lot of references to other movies during 'Gods of Egypt'. It could be interesting to dig these. To only cite them I recognized references to 'The Lord Of The Rings' (when hero says 'I am not only a god'), to 'Pirates of Carribean' (physical similarities between the Kraken and the Beast), and finally to 'Ironman' and 'Avengers' (the way armors of gods wrap their bodies and allow them to fly and fight). I am sure there are more of them!

In conclusion I hate the flaws of this 'Gods of Egypt' but absolutely adore its qualities. Too bad its qualities were to have a lot of money and great actors while its defects were all the scenaristic part. It was a great and spectacular entertainment but really shallow and questionable in overall.… Expand

Słaby, a jednocześnie dobrze się bawiłem. CGI kłuje w oczy, fabuła nuda i głupia, postacie nijakie, nie chce nam się im kibicować. Ma czasem przebłyski światła które dobrze poprowadzone mogłyby dać przyzwoity hollywoodzki blockbuster, jednakSłaby, a jednocześnie dobrze się bawiłem. CGI kłuje w oczy, fabuła nuda i głupia, postacie nijakie, nie chce nam się im kibicować. Ma czasem przebłyski światła które dobrze poprowadzone mogłyby dać przyzwoity hollywoodzki blockbuster, jednak to wielkie zmarnowanie mitologii starożytnego egiptu… Expand

My all-time favorite movie! But has anyone noticed that when Hathor, Horus and Bek were walking through the water, the water came to below Horus' knees and the same place on Bek? I think it would have been higher on Bek.
