It's safe to say that James Wan can. "Furious 7" is a well-configured sendoff(?) to the "Fast" franchise and easily the best installment within it, featuring superior set pieces, more organic character development tactics, and one of the most touching ending sequences to an action film I've watched in quite a while. For Paul

Furious 7 follows the death of his brother at the hands of Dominic Toretto and his eclectic crew, the cold, calculated Ian Shaw vows vengeance - and no one is safe from his reach.

I think we all know what to expect from the Fast and the Furious films by now. Yeah they stupid and the law of physics dose not exist in these movies, but the movies are so enjoyable when it comes to it's action and it's extremely cheesy one liners that all the law of physics stuff will fly pass your head just like that. Now here is the 7th movie in the franchises would you believe it well I wouldn't and who better to director it than the man who usual dose horror films James Wan, and him taking the directing chair was a nice move to do.

Now the one thing I was a bit worried about is how Jame Wan was going to handle the action in the movie but then I remembered he did Death Sentence and got a little interested. After seeing the movie I can say it pulled off perfectly as the action scenes looked net and well put together when it came to the big action scenes.

The cast and crew all return and some of them are not the greatest actors on the plant like Dwayne Johnson and many more, but just like Arnold Schwarzenegger you know they not the greatest but you like seeing them on the big screen because they always seem to be so likable that your happy to see them anywhere.

Jason Statham as the villain is basically Jason Statham acting all tough and mean for the movie.

Now early I brought up that the laws of physics dose exist in this movie, well for this movie this is the perfect time to bring up turning your brain off and enjoy what's on screen and I know it's hard for so people to do that (Like myself) but if you want to get through this movie without questing everything with characters getting into car crashes and walking out of it fine without a mark on them, just saying.

Now during filming of this movie the late great Paul Walker sadly passed way due to a car crash. Now Paul isn't my top pick for best actors but I really do respect the guy and I heard nothing but great things about him of how nice he is and always seem like his in a good mood. It must have been really hard for the cast to continue after his death with all of them know him so well. Vin Diesel spoke out of how hard it was for him and for him to break down in front of everybody in a movie premiere about his best friend or brother he likes to call it that is no longer with us, Imagine that for a moment and let that sink in.

The movie dose do a tribute at the end and I won't lie it almost brought a tear in my eye because it was just perfect and so moving that it was a good send off to Paul Walker. So from me to you Paul farewell.

For problems with the movie are very basically to be honest with the dialogue and some of the quick shot editing that everybody can spot straight away from problems, but at the end of the day this is like a 90's action movie with the cheese and goofiness with a little salt of heart to it.

This 7th entry in the series had some potential obstacles in it's path. Not only was this director James Wan's first action movie, but actor Paul Walker (R.I.P.) died before they were finished filming (forcing this to be the farewell entry to his character) Luckily both of those things prove not to be an issue. James Wan shows incredible talent as a director of action films, and we getting a fitting conclusion to the story of Walker's character.

Once again the action is explosive and incredibly exciting. The vehicular mayhem is a treat to behold and fight scenes have an added over-the-top vibe to them that make them crazier and more enjoyable to watch. There are a lot of explosions, chases, and fist-fights going on here. James Wan makes it all look so good and flow cohesively. Ensuring that things stay fun rather than devolving into visual noise.

The story is as tight as ever. It bounces of the plot from the previous movie and gives us a cool villain in Jason Statham, even if he doesn't have the presence of previous villains in the series. We never really get much personality from him. He's more or less a vehicle used to push the conflict forward., giving out heroes someone to fight. It's hard to complain though when his fight scenes are so good.

The only thing I'm disappointed in is that it's not as funny as the 6th movie. Don't get me wrong, there are still quite a few funny moments here that had me laughing out loud. They just don't come at the same rate as the previous F&F. There is more emotion here though. A touching farewell to Walker is the standout moment in this department. The bond of family is still as strong as ever.

With so much flash and bang backed up by substance and great characters, Furious 7 manages to be another excellent entry in the series. Wan shows that he can bring the same talent he showed in all of his horror movies to the action movie genre. A little more humor and a fleshed out villain would have been appreciated, but it's hard to complain when the overall results are this good. It's worth going on a ride with these characters for a 7th time.

I give the movie a 9.1/10.

Who thought getting THAT guy would be a good idea for an F&F film?! At least the director for upcoming "Fast 8" has credits like "The Italian Job" and "The Negotiator" (setting aside "Straight Outta Compton", don't like where that would take "Fast 8"). There are many negatives here lamenting the two hours of life they want back, but I count myself fortunate for only losing 15-mins. Expand

If you liked the others, you'll like this. However, it is objectively a poor film - poorly acted, obsessively loud, terrible cameos, pointless frames gratuitously focusing on female arses for no reason other than "just because", nonsense plot, a complete lack of story continuity, with obviously dead characters suddenly not being dead - again, "just because"...

Basically, it's a movie for teenage lads and boy racers - there's nothing wrong with that, but don't expect people judging a movie objectively to be "nice" to it. No brain, plenty of noise.

The Rock performs the Rock Bottom through a glass table though. For that alone it gets an additional two points from me.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie defies logic in every single away. You've got a car crossing over three buildings in a row, a man falling downhill after jumping from a building and surviving that, the bad guy that survives after being smashed by big wreckage. All of that seems incredibly unbelievable.... but it's so damn fun. The action is entertainingly over-the-top, the humor is actually pretty good and the homage they did to the late Paul Walker is well put together. One other problem I had with "Furious 7" -- aside from its silly story -- was Vin Diesel. I know a lot of people like him, but I found him to be particularly bland in this film. Shame "The Rock" didn't have much screen-time as he should have had.

Overall, this movie is surprisingly good, and fans won't pass it out.

7/10.

After three mediocre installments ('F+F', '2F 2F' & 'Tokyo Drift') and one that no one remembers ('F&F 4'), one could think that they were going from down to low. But, 'Fast Five' and 'F&F 6' things really begun to take flight. And, I never thought I'd say this, but "Furious 7" is a damn fine action film. It unashamedly defies logic, but the quality of the action sequences is stunning. And, there's no way you won't get the goosebumps in Paul Walker's first and final scene. "F7" is somewhat darker and grimmer, and there's something about James Wan's direction that makes the film breathe, unlike many of its peers. It's thrilling, exhausting and a heck of a lot of fun. With a legacy of 15 years, Furious 7 manages to still come out with a fresh and fun concept, while capturing the essence of the original. Now the film has some extraordinary action scenes and moments involving our favorite characters, however there were some big problems as well. But let’s be honest, all the bad stuff can be forgotten due to how great not only Universal Studios was, but also director James Wan (The Conjuring) and the entire cast was with the passing of Paul Walker and all that it entailed.
Now let’s talk about the movie. Furious 7 picks up right after the events of Tokyo Drift and the death of the character Han. This film is mainly a revenge story between Vin Diesel’s (Dom) character and Jason Stathan’s (Deckard Shaw). With that said, the film doesn’t focus much on that story, instead they focus more on the side plot. The side plot involved the capturing of an object by the name of “God’s Eye” that the team had to go after. This was a problem for the film since I’m sure the movie audience wanted to see more of Jason Stathan doing what he does best (Kicking Ass). Jason Stathan’s character was not the only one however, given little screen time. The Rocks character was also side swept because of the side story. Despite that though, he still had some of the best lines in the film.
Now let’s talk about Paul Walker! After his passing, the film had to work with what footage they already had of Paul. When production was at a halt, Paul’s brothers Cody and Caleb Walker were brought in, in order to film any extra scenes. During the film, there were definitely some scenes that the audience could clearly see that Paul had been replaced with his brothers. To me this was not a problem at all since they look extremely similar to him. Overall, despite the horrible delivery of lines from Ronda Rousey and Iggy Azalea, the film as a whole was a wonderful farewell and tribute to Paul Walker. It was an action packed film filled with great one-liners and an emotional ending that left me, and the audience sheading more than a tear.

Rey's Final Score: 7.8/10

This time, brother of Owen Shaw ( main villain of last film) comes for the revenge. He is taking down the crew members of Dominic ( Vin Diesel) which includes his family, one by one.Now it's the showtime for Dominic and his crew to find him before he finds them.Action superstar Jason Statham plays the role of Owen shaw's brother. Tony Jaa also appears in some of the fight sequences.

Direction is good.VFX & stunt department has done a good work.BGM with hip hop beats were nice.Though few scenes seems unacceptable and illogical, just remember the fact that without such scenes there isn't any fast and furious films.Instead of analyzing the different levels of acting from actors, I think it is better to analyze how did they do their stunt sequences and I must say they've done a pretty good job.

So, this film which is dedicated to Paul Walker, is fun to watch with its breathholding fighting and car chasing sequences.Couldn't blame if your eyes get wet at the end of the film.

My rating : 3.5/5

This was a great leap for the cast and crew of The Fast and the Furious franchise cast and crew, as you would expect, the story seemed the same but different in it's own way. The cast had given it's greatest performance in the series, and gladly enough they had given Paul Walker his memorable and groundbreaking final performance as Brian O' Conner a proper farewell, which probably made some people shed some tears in the final moments of the films. The series is very well know to repeat the story in future projects, which would be awesome. Expand

Not very good... boring, plot was thin, background music overload, action overdone, acting average.

Nice, respectful ending.

A background film to watch while cleaning the house.

A lot of over the top stunt action, none of it even remotely believable. But it's reasonably entertaining for an action flick with a story that's just an excuse for all the stuntwork.

It takes an awfully long time to get anywhere or say anything. And I primarily blame James Wan for this, I really don't think he has much directorial talent and is yet to direct a film that wasn't too long. But Furious 7 does have some decent set pieces although the cgi is ropier than you'd imagine for a film with this budget. I love Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham no matter what the film is, and the Paul Walker montage at the end was genuinely moving. But overall meh. Expand

If you can get past the:
1. Poor acting,
2. Derivative plot,
3. Schwarzenegger-esque, endless, unsuccessful one-liner attempts by Vin Diesel,
4. Awful jokes
5. One long strung together cliched film device after another--pounded home...

Then there's some entertainment to be had here. The screenplay and story-boarding on this must have read like they were done by a 16 year old.

What you'll get, if by some miracle none of this draws you out of the movie (we went to an IMAX), is:
Some car chases
Some good, but not great explosions
Some ok fight sequences (definitely underutilized their creativity and talent here)
A showdown at the end.

This is around a Metacritic 55. The current 67 is by comparison, if you were required to sit through the prior 6 movies.
Fury, Blackhat, Hobbit, Unbroken, none of which were great, but all better, and rated lower.
Pick one of those and don't give this one your money.

As always, a bunch of mediocre (or just bad) actors being the face of a too long roller-coaster with no depth and ridiculous and sugar-coated dialogues. No matter how crazy and good some action scenes are, when you can not care at all about anything that happens to anyone in a film and there´s no sign of decent story anywhere, it is just boring. Which feels like a total waste of so much money (the money that costs making these big films). How I wish quality blockbusters would be the ones topping the box office and not this. Expand

Being over the top is fine, being total ridiculous is not. The movie was filled with interesting characters but there acting was overshadowed by explosions that would have put even Michael Bay to shame.

The movie took itself way to serious and every team member had to have it's moment to shine. They all became (dual-wielding) martial artist capable of kicking highly trained asses. The "funny"conversations felt forced and the only reason I give it a 3 out of 10 is because the ending (which I think might have played a big role in a lot of people giving it a very high score) and the potential it had with all these actors. But it surely failed to deliver.

For Paul. Expand

The new characters are a great addition to the fast family and are likely to stay for at least a few more films, and the performers of these characters, Jason Statham and Kurt Russell, can only be applauded. It doesn't quite surpass the standards set by "Fast Five", but this seventh instalment is an exciting, ridiculous and over-the-top action movie, and a satisfying conclusion to Paul Walker's film career.

It’s no wonder this movie made over 1.5 billion dollars at the box office. Though Furious 7 may not be one of the greatest movies of all time, it is sure worth a watch. It starts a little slow but when the pace picks up, look out. This film is jam packed with as much action as one could dream of. Unlike most of the other Fast and Furious movies, this movie focuses more on the problems and drama of “the family.” It is touching where it needs to be and badass where it should be.
Furious 7 blends action and drama in a wonderful way. It is a beautiful end to Brian O’Conner’s saga. A person can’t help but tear up during the end scene which acts as a tribute to Paul Walker. It is 110% worth the 2 hours and 20 minutes to watch.

Maybe the MOST UNREALISTIC EXISTING MOVIE! Check this out: We have a Lamborghini which is being chased by a person with a last-technologhy gun. The driver of the car breaks a window goes from a 100-floor building to ANOTHER 100-floor building! Just like walking from a room to another! Instead of going down and killing everyone! Or we have a car (again!) being trapped by many soldiers with superguns. How the driver will be saved? By falling from the cliff which is behind! Thousands of rocks and other stuff are being throwed to the driver, but finally he is saved with a MAGIC WAY! I definitely NOT recommend this movie. Expand

TheFast and Furious 7 is a pleasant surprise for me compared to the not entirely successful six. The story is much better and there have been no situations, as in the sixth part, where I thought that this series was going to the bottom. The event is successful again and especially the environment is absolutely wonderful here. I don't want to spoil, but I can say that the soundtrack has definitely improved and you will find a few songs here, which are very nice. Overall, this is another amazing sequel and the ending is really wonderful for the fans of the series. Expand

Given that this is the final time we will ever see Paul Walker on a major motion picture screen, for me it was more emotional than any of the other Fast and Furious movies. But I thought it was also a pretty hip and sophisticated film. The explosions were timed well, and the action was fantastic. It had a surprisingly large amount of heart, and the characters had just enough development to make a preposterous conclusion feel plausible. Vin Diesel and Jason Statham do a terrific job with their roles despite the fact that it wasn't a film with a stellar reputation or outstanding performances. The vote is positive not so much for the film itself, however good, as for the homage to the late Paul Walker, in a final sequence that has now become iconic and legendary.
