All in all, Finding 'Ohana is a superb entry into the annals of kid-fronted adventure. The familiarity of concept and character welcomes you into the cozy romp of it all but provides surprises and spectacle unique to its Hawaiian environment. There are laughs and thrills aplenty, spiked with a bit of pathos, but not so much to derail the fun. Read full review

A Gen Z crusade, hyper-aware of its Indiana Jonesian influences, is an entertaining conceit. But the plodding pace of Jude Weng’s film, along with its shabby dialogue, distracts from the more emotionally intricate subplot of the mother returning home to her father after her husband’s death. No idea how this is getting good reviews. It’s full of cringy 2019 pop culture references, half of the jokes are “Keanu Reeves cool” and it has a twist that has literally no foreshadowing and comes out of absolutely nowhere. Would not recommend.
