A centerpiece of the film is a tribute to the late, legendary Amália Rodrigues, a woman of commanding, majestic beauty and presence, who is seen with her pianist in rehearsal, searching out every nuance of a song she is to perform. "Fados" is the masterpiece of Carlos Saura. An amazing musical trip with great singers and musicians like Lila Downs, Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso and with a beautiful concept that makes a unique connection between past and present.
