Kirk Douglas' performance...is so strong and inspiring it's a shame there isn't a better movie around it.
See this movie for Douglas and Bacall, ignore the dialogue and just bask in their star chemistry, still strong after all these years.
Thanks to (Douglas), Diamonds is quite affecting -- even if it's not a particularly good movie.
Isn't much of a movie, but it's worth a look just to see screen legend Kirk Douglas, Michael's eighty-three-year-old father, kick ass.
