Doesn't pull punches, and makes me like Ryan Reynolds again. Dude put it on the line for this movie, which may have single-handedly saved X-men movies for a future generation. Gold.

(although that said it's dumb as in understanding movie, the actual plot is far more cohesive and logical then star trek beyond of suicide squad.)… Expand

Funny, extremely well done, and is at its best when it takes the formula the comics have laid out for Deadpool and made him into the sarcastic, media darling he is today. While the story is extremely run of the mill, and about the only thing the movie doesn't make fun of, the content is absolutely amazing and there are so many call backs to the good and bad things (HINT: Wolverine's version of Deadpool 10 years ago). This movie just loves making fun of itself and it's certainly at its best when it does. It's not meant to be taken seriously in any means and the jokes are very crude sometimes. There's also alot of blood and gore for a Marvel movie so young kids should stay away from it. But there's nothing better than Deadpool right now and Marvel is riding the hot hand by already greenlighting Deadpool 2. If it's as good as the first one, they've got a hit on their hands.… Expand

Deadpool was a pleasure to watch, I enjoyed almost every second of it.

Back when Marvel movies started to become mainstream, there was always something nagging me about the films. Where they good? Usually, but they always felt constrained.Deadpool was a pleasure to watch, I enjoyed almost every second of it.

Back when Marvel movies started to become mainstream, there was always something nagging me about the films. Where they good? Usually, but they always felt constrained.

Deadpool takes the absurd concept of the super hero genre and simply runs with it. It isn't afraid to make fun of super hero movies in general, or even itself. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it has just enough story to validate it existence.

I truly hope to see more of these films in the future.… Expand

Absolutely phenomenal. Only movie to rival this in 2016 is BATMAN vs SUPERMAN. Deadpool had me in stitches, so so so much fun. Hope it makes its money back and goes north of 200k. Highly entertaining for most of the movie. There were some rough patches in the dialogue, along with a few forced and not-as-funny-as-they-thought jokes and scenes, but overall it was a surprisingly solid experience. The bar was definitely set fairly high and, while not a full-on Deadpool comics fan, I am fond of superhero comics and Marvel comics in particular so it was fantastic to see a spot-on Deadpool performance from Ryan Reynolds. I think he actually was born to play this role. It was also very refreshing and fun to see the full potential of a superhero movie with an R-rating.

10/10 would watch again and would recommend to friends. Though, if they were any true friend of mine, they'd have already seen it...… Expand

Ryan Reynolds knocked it outta the park as Deadpool, he was fantastic in this movie, and it definitely shows that he was born to play Deadpool. just don't seal his mouth shut like a **** clown. Ryan Reynolds is a great **** talker, so Deadpool needs to be a great ****-talker too. another highlight to this movie was the humor. right from the start, the opening credits were perfect. the thing that makes the humor great is that it's almost a spoof, but in reality it's not a spoof. it's Deadpool humor and it's perfect! seriously, this has to be the funniest Marvel movie i've ever seen in years! and the action scenes are exciting too. usually in comic book movies, the studio would too scared to be rough and violent, so they always went with a PG-13 like vibe. here, it's nothing like that. when the **** goes down, it goes down. and it's bloody, it's violent without being apologetic. and it's not just chop chop here, and shoot, shoot there. no, it's really clever, and i loved seeing that. Colossus was great too, and i love seeing these X-Men characters again. and the thing is: they're total opposites, like Colossus's a good guy and Wade Wilson's more of a **** with a twisted sense of humor. so like i said, you guys should definitely go out and see Deadpool, cause it's definitely the funniest comedy movie and the most fun i've had in a movie since The Force Awakens… Expand

You're taken by the balls straight into the madness whilst giving a purge of hilarious detail for the love conflict, the superhero aspect, the villainous revenge plot and it's passion. You could imply that Deadpool is a love letter to love itself, but because it's gratuitous nature and grizzly yet comedic release, dead-pool is a love letter to pornography, sex and human lust. It's a charming, cartoonist chocolate coated tumour, mentally growing on you over time, and it's ludicrously entertaining. Messy has never been so organised.… Expand

Over 1500 positive reviews so far on Deadpool and only 120 negative tells you that this movie has a TON of promise and a promising future. This is entertainment at its best. Anyway, one of the funniest movies I've seen in years and I can't wait to pick this up on bluray!!! 10/10… Expand

Waiting 10 years for this movie and coming from a huge fan, I can say this movie captures the spirit of the comic's. I always knew Ryan Reynolds would make a perfect deadpool, even after the unfortunate x-men origins wolverine version of deadpool, but I was impressed at how identical he represented the character. Deadpool brought a lot of gruesome and awesome action, hilarious humor for everyone from comic experts to those who have never picked up a comic, and plenty of 4th wall breaks and self-aware pop culture references. Everyone does there best in there roles and the plot is consistent and never gets dull as it bounces between the crazy deadpool and his origin story without spending too much time on each. My only flaw is that it could have used a little longer of a run time for a little more character building on the villains as well as maybe adding a few jokes that didn't make it past the trailers. But even then, it didn't feel that short on it's own with plenty to keep me entertained. This is the deadpool movie I've been waiting for and it's definitely what Fox needed after last years Fantastic 4.… Expand

Autrement, c'est un excellent film qui raconte le récit d'un homme de la rue sans grandes valeurs, ni ambition qui devient un anti-héros. L'humour noir est bien distribué tout au long du film. Il y a une scène où la violence devient tellement grotesque que la salle et moi avons éclatés de rire avec stupeur. S'en était difficile à regarder ! ***
Il y a également des moments forts où on s'attache au personnage pour ensuite lui pardonner ses excès.
Avec un budget de 25% moindre que celui du premier X-Men, il y a 16 ans, Deadpool prouve que la nécessité est la mère de la créativité. Ceci a peut-être aussi été un avantage, car moins de financement, veut aussi dire plus de liberté de choix et d'expression. Deadpool dit fort ce que les autres n'osent pas dire.
Bref, c'est un film de gars très divertissant pour un public mature. C'est aussi le film que les fans méritent. Bravo ! :D
Pour finir, j'ai trouvé la scène après le générique très drôle puisque j'étais seul dans la salle de cinéma. Ce fut un étrange moment avec un personnage de fiction qui m'a fait sourire. :P… Expand

I never was completely into comedy movies but oh man, Deadpool proved me wrong. One of the few characters and few movies that made me love every minute of it. Ryan Reynolds is great for it too. I was kinda surprised it was R Rated because some scenes were a bit over that, but nonetheless I had fun watching it.

He is unconventional, entertaining and self aware 4th wall breaking. Deadpool can be or is a mixture of hero, antihero, villain and comic relief. In the right hands the character is pure comedic gold but can have also good serious tones and problems. When we got Deadpools first appearance in “X-Men Origins Wolverine” (played by Ryan Reynolds too) we all were shocked. The character was not even in name only like Deadpool and a universal disappointment. So we were skeptic when the Deadpool movie was announced. However all our fears were pointless. Ryan Reynolds fully delivered and the writers / director nailed everything. It is what we wanted. A humorous ride with lovable characters, good action and lots of fan service. The characters are another strength. I already praised Ryan Reynolds so lets go to the others. Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano who I am huge fan of, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni are excellent. I think there was no bad performance. The humor is as expected, dark, satirical, self aware and respectless. It works really well. Overall this is a 10/10. Maybe it is a bit weaker but they put so much effort in this movie that a lower rating feels wrong. I recommend the movie for the humor, style and characters.… Expand

I can honestly say that I will be seeing this film multiple times in the theater, as it's that darn entertaining. You can tell this was a passion project for all involved as it exudes so much heart that the film industry should be taking notes on how to do a proper comicbook type movie. Deadpool starts with what could quite possibly be the best opening credit sequence ever in cinema and the action sequences are a thing of beauty! I honesty sat in complete amazement at some of the things they were able to pull off with such a small budget. Now I'm not a huge comedy fan, but I have to admit that when I left the theater, my stomach actually hurt from laughing so hard. Some of the dialogue is just pure brilliance and Ryan Reynolds has truly found a character he was born to play. I hope Deadpool gets many more sequels as it deserves to keep going. I had some initial concerns about a completely CGI character in Colossus (The Force Awakens let me down in that sense), but he is by far the best use of a CGI character that I've ever seen and made me happy to see him represented the way he is in the comics and not how the X-Men movies portrayed him. And as for Negatonic Teenage Warhead...just superb! Go see Deadpool and you will be watching the most entertaining film in a very VERY long time. Trust me!… Expand

Initial credits say the absolute truth, star Ryan Reynolds is listed as “God’s perfect idiot”; first-time feature director Tim Miller is described as “an overpaid tool.” The writers are referred to as “the real heroes here.

Evidently, adventure is full of blood and jokes and obscene topics, not wasting any second to perform one of those jokes. Wade generates an experience more intimate with the audience breaking the fourth wall hundreds of times. It was great!. Certainly this film carries the label of "The First Film R Marvel" with honor, sweat, love, passion and many swear words.

Rhett and Paul Wernick Rheese (real heroes) are the guilty of creating a script full of humorous moments that generate irresistible laughter led for the fabulous sarcasm by Ryan Reynolds.

If you liked the formula implemented in "G. G.", "Deadpool" you give a pleasant surprise to improve the formula imminently with sarcasm, indirect and direct messages for himself, other superheroes, and even to the own production company.

Project hosts two mainly innovative elements chosen by its writers in delicate and precise way, the first was how the same anti - hero put his origins and the second was the constant breakdown of film's four walls. But these were only the bases to solidify the film.

Based on the 1991 comic by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, "Dead Pool" tells the story of Wade Wilson, a bad man who receives a bad health diagnostics, this leads him to take apparently wrong decisions, making him literally a monster but giving him a superhuman abilities and unimaginable ability to cure ( All dinosaurs feared the T - Rex" - Wade Wilson).

The film uses various and consistent moments not fundamental to the advancement of the plot but necessary to maintain the close relationship Wade - audience, which include two participants of the "X-MEN" or to an elderly blind who want to assemble her shelf.

Several years ago, the comic writers looked the small and complicated in the "X-MEN Origins" (2009) shameful Ryan Reynolds participation, they told him immediately that if at some point in their lives they would have the opportunity to make an own anti - hero film, the main role was immediately for the boy. Good choice writers. His enthusiasm sarcastic is what makes Deadpool "Deadpool", He exudes all the features of the character, even achieving to see his pansexuality and light homoerotic. Love story for Valentine's day? strategy? more profits?. It is an action choreography , interspersed with a fresh narrative and adding the best reviews of the mercenary. It's a Marvel's masterpiece.

At one point, the film can become an action film, in a horror movie, in a film drama, in a romantic film, in a thriller film, is truly multifaceted, having the majestic power of overcoming its premise in the cinema is essential.

Sadly, we can not say that "Deadpool" will be Marvel film last for older, but if you can say that 'Merc with a mouth' has done excellent and textual words of super is will turn into a fu---ng franchise. A film that parade perfectly between the thin and dangerous line of comedy , superheroes and fantastic bad language , defends and gives a fresh air to the superhero genre so congested.… Expand

Since I was getting sick of Disney childish approach, specially after they made Star Wars for 8 year old kids and mentally challenged, this alongside Jessica Jones and Daredevil, is proof that superhero movies can be good movies. Now let's break it down:
~~ Plot : Since it's a deadpool movie, I never expected nor wanted a philosophical story. The plot line is mediocre, but without being filled with deus ex machina as SW7 is. Which makes it enjoyable. Also the story telling technique used is great, managing too keep the pace between slower story scenes and action/funny scenes. But where the movie really shines is where it should: it has funny jokes and greatly paced action scenes.

~~ Image: GCI is what you would expected for 2016 movie. Also the direction and use of still frames and lighting is great. Not Revenant "level", if you would wanna compare with a recent movie, but above any other MCU movie.

~~ Sound: Great soundtrack and sound mixing. Not Guardians of the Galaxy "level", but still, great.

~~ Acting: All actors do a great job and you never feel bothered by awkward acting even from the extras, like in Captain America or Green Lantern. Also you can see it's a passion project for Ryan Reynolds, because he is as good as Deadpool, as Jackman is Wolverine.

This movie is hilarious! The writers did a great job balancing the movie between comedy, drama, action/adventure, and some suspense. As well as the actors, whom also did a great job in the movie. Deadpool sets the bar so high for other marvel movies that will be so hard to compete with. If there was away for more money and a PG-13 rating with out sacrificing the material. This movie would no doubt be the highest grossing film in superhero movie history. This movie regardless of budget and R rated status, still crushes all the washed up marvel movies to date. Deadpool is so in tuned with fans and what we fans think of superhero movies. This is no doubt fun. You have got to see it!… Expand

Undeniably one of the greatest superhero movies if not, the greatest superhero movie of all time ever! This film had a great plot, lovable characters, and the greatest opening credit sequence of all time. I even like the villain, even though he is my least favorite character out of all of the other characters. there is not a single dull moment in this movie! I love the score and soundtrack choices. It kind of reminded me of the Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1 Soundtrack! This is best film I had seen so far this year and I am going to give Deadpool a solid 10/10! Go see this movie and do not bring your kids to see it. It might have X-Men in it, but there are a lot of stuff in the movie that is not child appropriate, and don't even think about making a patrician to make this movie PG-13 because you will be the dumbest person on this earth to do such a little stupid thing so that 8 year olds can watch it and then the movie will suck and we will just have another Fantastic.… Expand

I don't think the critics 'got' this move at all.. and anyone complaining about it being immature is like complaining the Superman played the role of hero in his movies. SEE THIS MOVIE. It's hilarious and better than I ever expecting.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Deadpool is here! And what more could you have asked for with this movie? Raunchy sex jokes, hilarious 4th wall breaking moments, and an amazing actor portraying our "hero". Everything in this film feels so genuine and it's apparent from the first 10 minutes that so much care was put into putting a GOOD Deadpool adaptation on the big screen. Ryan Reynolds is perfect as the Merc with the mouth and no actor could have pulled off what he did with this character. The plot is a pretty simple revenge story but that's all it really had to be. It did it's job very well and the film didn't suffer from not having a more complex story. It's a revenge story. Plain and simple. But pretty well done. The movie is done through flashback segments to Wade Wilson, his love interest, and most importantly, his journey to becoming Deadpool and the reasoning behind his hatred of Francis (Ajax). These flashbacks do the job well but do seem to carry on a little too long towards the halfway point of the movie but they did make me care about Wade Wilson and his journey to becoming Deadpool. The only real problems with Deadpool is the flashback segments get a little drawn out towards the middle of the film, and Francis was a little underdeveloped. The movie did it's job of making you hate the villain which is good but in the end you really don't know anything about him. Just that his name is Francis, he's British and he is responsible for making Wade Wilson a "testicle with teeth". Those are the only negatives to this movie. The humour of Deadpool shines so well throughout the whole movie, Ryan Reynolds kills it as this character and I cared for what was going on. What more could you ask for? Saying this, I am aware Deadpool may not be for everyone. If you don't like his humour in the comics, you won't in the movie. If you think his comedy is juvenile and disgusting, you won't like this film. And while the humour is usually very disgusting and crude it's what makes Deadpool so fun to watch. If you have a good sense of humour and want to watch a funny, well written, "super hero" movie DO NOT skip on Deadpool. This movie was perfect and came out at a perfect time in an over saturated market of super hero movies (and yes Deadpool will reference this) this movie is SO refreshing and the few negatives don't take away anything from this film. If you haven't yet, go see this movie now. You will not be disappointed. You know what you're in for just from the opening credits. Deadpool is very well done and one of the best comedies, Marvel movies and maybe even one of the best in years… Expand

I am a long time Comic Book fan and a casual fan of Deadpool comics. Watching this movie is like reading one of the best Deadpool graphic novels available.
