This movie is spectacular in superhero movies outside of Avenger movies, it has the fighting and comedy that is not for everyone but for anyone who is okay with over the top comedy. Ryan Reynolds is gold in this as Deadpool.

Funny, entertaining, and refreshing !!

The first thing I noticed was how inventive the storytelling is. The film throws you into the action from the first moment (literally: the very first moment) and then it goes back and forth in brilliantFunny, entertaining, and refreshing !!

The first thing I noticed was how inventive the storytelling is. The film throws you into the action from the first moment (literally: the very first moment) and then it goes back and forth in brilliant and unexpected ways to slowly unspool the story of this insane - but oddly charming - antihero. Flashbacks and fast-forwards can be annoying as hell, but when done right, they can help render even a somewhat simple story fresh and exciting. And that's exactly how Deadpool felt to me right from the start: like a fresh (if somewhat dirty) jolt of energy.

The action itself is beautifully designed, employing playful visuals and using pretty much every camera technique available; it never feels repetitive and the pacing is close to perfection. But, and that was probably the key to me liking the film so much, there's a beating heart underneath all the action and carnage, and that has a lot to do with how brilliantly Ryan Reynolds portrays the character and the great chemistry he has with co-star Morena Baccarin. What came as a complete surprise to me was how unabashedly romantic Deadpool is. The love story in this film is probably the most sincere I've ever seen in a superhero movie and it gives the film a strong emotional core which so many of these movies lack.

The humor, which I initially feared would just be non-stop juvenile wisecracks and soon become distracting, also works surprisingly well. Not every line or every joke lands - but that's the beauty of this character: they don't really need to. Deadpool can't help himself; as long as he's able to breathe he'll crack wise and make fun of himself and those around him. It's a clinical condition; he's not a stand-up comedian whose jokes need to land: he's a madman (albeit a very entertaining one) and the comedy in his case is born out of tragedy.

Also the rest of the cast is excellent and I don't want to replace anyone. Lets start with the beginning. The Deadpool character is a fan favorite. He is unconventional, entertaining and self aware 4th wall breaking. Deadpool can be or is a mixture of hero, antihero, villain and comic relief. In the right hands the character is pure comedic gold but can have also good serious tones and problems. When we got Deadpools first appearance in “X-Men Origins Wolverine” (played by Ryan Reynolds too) we all were shocked. The character was not even in name only like Deadpool and a universal disappointment. So we were skeptic when the Deadpool movie was announced. However all our fears were pointless. Ryan Reynolds fully delivered and the writers / director nailed everything. It is what we wanted. A humorous ride with lovable characters, good action and lots of fan service. The characters are another strength. I already praised Ryan Reynolds so lets go to the others. Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano who I am huge fan of, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni are excellent. I think there was no bad performance. The humor is as expected, dark, satirical, self aware and respectless. It works really well. Overall this is a 10/10. Maybe it is a bit weaker but they put so much effort in this movie that a lower rating feels wrong. I recommend the movie for the humor, style and characters.… Expand

I've got to say, even though I liked the movie, I am slightly disappointed. Overall I'd say that it's enjoyable but it lacks focus, there are so many flashbacks, and the pacing is weird. Deadpool 2016 is one of those movies that is flawless I loved this movie when I first saw it and still do this is still one of my fav comic book movies ever made it knows what it is and it makes the film so **** good where you know as venom takes it too series so then it gets boring in the first act goddam that movie but this film is perfect to the casting of Ryan Reynolds is perfect can not see anyone taking over Deadpool as he did but with the back story and the action and comedy is just absolutely perfect wade getting cancer he thinks they are gonna cure it when in reality they tortured and made him pretty much ugly by Deadpool terms the whole love interest for Deadpool i really liked also is a very good character of what she had to do the villain Francis i actually really like like he is just evil for like no apparent reason but the whole story with deadpool and francis like you want francis dead you are on deadpool's side but deadpool's back story is so uncorfable with all the toture god i hated watching that but man how they do what they were doing with the producers and the writers is amazing So all round an perfect comic movie with an amazing casting that is ryan reynolds so I give Deadpool 2016 an A+ and 99%… Expand

I had never seen or heard about Deadpool before the movie was announced. I later got to know there was a game on this too, but I thought it must be just any regular superhero game like the non-Rocksteady, non-Insomniac ones. When I read theI had never seen or heard about Deadpool before the movie was announced. I later got to know there was a game on this too, but I thought it must be just any regular superhero game like the non-Rocksteady, non-Insomniac ones. When I read the reviews of the movie that said it's outrageously hilarious, I thought it's because American humour is very bad so even mediocre jokes are funny to them. Also it was 2016 so "abusing funny" was something on a rise (AIB, TVF, BB Ki Vines, CarryMinati etc). Thus I completely ignored this movie. As such I wasn't into superhero stuff so I wasn't even gonna notice it anyway. Then one day we were going on a trip so I saw this movie in a flight. And now I simply love it.

Deadpool was the first X-Men movie I ever watched from beginning to end. I didn't even know anything about the X-Men franchise. And it's a good thing this movie barely borrows anything from its predecessor. There are only easter eggs spread here and there. It's all clarified by Deadpool himself when he asks Colossus where everyone is at Xavier's School. Colossus says they are all out on a vacation, to which Deadpool replies it's a lie, and that they are not here because this is a low budget movie. By just mentioning that dialogue it makes it very clear what kind of a sense of humour this movie has.

Deadpool continuously breaks the fourth wall. He talks to the audience, mentions that this is just a movie, references Ryan Reynolds' previous movies like Green Lantern (please don't make my costume green, or animated!) and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He even roasts himself in a scene after his face gets disfigured, where he says that only good looking people have a chance in this world, for example Ryan Reynolds is famous only because of his good looks and not because of his acting. There's also a scene where he breaks a fourth wall and gives a flashback and then breaks the fourth wall in that also, so he says he broke the sixteenth wall.

The sense of humour of every character is intense. Dopindar kidnaps his cousin Bandhu so that he can marry Gita, which he had done on Deadpool's suggestion. The scene where Deadpool forgets his weapons in Dopindar's car almost made me fall from my seat laughing. There was also Colossus who was a stooge the whole time, and Negasonic who mostly completed the jokes. Same goes for Ajax and Vanessa also.

The action scenes are also very well choreographed. For some reason it's so much fun to see Deadpool fight. It was easily better than any superhero action that has been shown in any X-Men movie (other than the Quicksilver ones). In the beginning it was so funny when he shows the drawing of Francis to everyone and asks them if they have seen him. I really liked that part where he had numbered all his bullets and shoots one guy who runs out of bullets.

The story is also very good. The way of narrating it is something only suitable for a Deadpool movie. It gives the complete origin story of Deadpool and also fills in with comic relief over the otherwise grim story. There is also a heavy amount of character development, as Wade Wilson goes from being a carefree guy to having to leave Vanessa after he got cancer, and then trying to get back to her but thinking she will be horrified to see him, and then finally accepting who he is.

Personally Deadpool is one of my favourite superhero movies. It was my favourite back when I saw it, but now things are different because, you know, I saw the sequel. I'd surely recommend anyone to watch it even if they know nothing about the X-Men movies.… Expand

Est un très bon film qui nous fait passer un moment de "débandade totale" Un film qui ne se prend pas au sérieux, mais qui va au bout des choses. [spoiler] Commencer avec "Réalisateur = Bouler surpayer" LOL quoi !!! [/spoiler] Une histoire de gros bras BADASS complètement "con", mais stylisé de nombreux effets spéciaux comme les bullet time ou les stops motion qui nous font sourire !!! Une bande-son choisie correctement à croire que Marvel et la Fox ont bien compris que les bandes-son personnalisées sont plus plaisantes (merci gardien de la galaxie)
Un Univers totalement intégrer à X-MEN ce qui annonce un univers cinématographique.

The fourth one is Colossus's CGI.
The fifth is the good action scenes.

He is diagnosed with terminal cancer and Francis aka. Ajax cures him by torturing him to death by turning his body and face into severe scarring's. That is all in his backstory and as you can see, he just breaks the fourth wall about it. He does that in every scene he is doing. It's just mind-blowing. Haha, not to mention that the songs I love are really in it like You're the inspiration by Chicago and Careless Whisper by Wham! aka. George Michael. If you love the film, scroll forward to the end credits and watch Deadpool breaking the fourth wall to it while listening to Careless Whisper. I'm not even kidding. It's pretty hilarious. Now Deadpool is first seen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and he is seen without a costume, doesn't use bad language and he has his mouth gone. Right after the credits he rips off Ferris Bueller's Day Off by telling the audience that there's a sequel going to be made and be released and cable is going to be in it. I'll bet the audience and I can't wait to see this movie in a couple of weeks. Deadpool is an R rated superhero film that kids shouldn't be allowed to watch. Not because they want to watch it cause it's part of the X-Men franchise, it's because it's rated R for blood, guts, sex and language which I guess people shouldn't be offended by which calls for breaking fourth walls to the people. it's an awesome flick with the highest grossing success at the box office, hilarious jokes and puns and fantastic portrayal of Deadpool by Ryan Reynolds. R rating was the perfect choice and R.R was the perfect actor for it. I just don't like this film in a sense of low budget, and bad ending. However, 2 hours with Deadpool was a experience that I wouldn't have until I watch Deadpool 2.

I am not quite a fan of Super Hero movies, but this one one for me was quite interesting. While I didn't care much about the story, the general idea and ingenious and pretty well executed. While I didn't care much about the story, the general idea and ingenious and pretty well executed. Overall, this movie is a mixture between violent action, "I-don't-give-a-sh*t"-Coming of age and some partially explicit comedy, while the last aspect is the thing I liked about it. The protagonist did a very good job and the breaking of the so called "fourth wall" provides the charme of something strange, supernatural power, like the "errors in the matrix" was going on all the time while watching. All in all, this movie is not overwhelmingly great, but it surely is an interesting change to the else rather momotonous action genre. The reason for me deciding to give 7 points is the amount of porn, which is surely a part of Deadpools humour, but for the story it's irrelevant, so I wish they would have left out the suggestive scenes. It's probably my personal view on it, but they kind of destroyed the movie's seriousness from certain point.… Expand

This one was pretty good. However, I made the mistake of playing this when my elderly parents were visiting thinking it would be a typical Avengers type movie. Awkward!
Definitely keep the young kiddos away from this one!

I have been waiting for this movie since it was rumored to be in development. After the initial trailer, I knew that I would enjoy this movies, a lot. So I re-watched the trailer over and over again.

I have been waiting for this movie since it was rumored to be in development. After the initial trailer, I knew that I would enjoy this movies, a lot. So I re-watched the trailer over and over again.
Long story short, on its release date I wasn't at least disappointed. I knew what I was expecting and got exactly that (and more).
The most important aspect besides the creative jokes is of course the R rated category which definitely boosted the audiences' interest. Tim Miller along with Ryan Reynolds actually did a pretty unique re-watchable masterpiece to enjoy on various occasions.
Deadpool has its flaws of course seeing as the main focus is captivating people through language and visuals but sometimes forgets about the story and actor development (including the main villain which is very forgettable).

Marvel se dévergonde, on dirait... et si je n'avais pas vu le fameux logo, je n'y aurais d'ailleurs pas cru ! Après toute la panoplie de ses super-héros plus ou moins dangereusement cons, Marvel se détend quelque peu avec ce "Deadpool", unMarvel se dévergonde, on dirait... et si je n'avais pas vu le fameux logo, je n'y aurais d'ailleurs pas cru ! Après toute la panoplie de ses super-héros plus ou moins dangereusement cons, Marvel se détend quelque peu avec ce "Deadpool", un sacré courant d'air frais dans une salle viciée de premier degré, de scénarios mongolos et autres produits macgerbales jetables qui sont le fond de commerce du rouleau compresseur Marvel.

Déjanté, irrévérencieux, grossier, vulgaire... ce Monsieur Deadpool a décidément toutes les qualités... certaines scènes sont hilarantes et quelques bons mots font mouche. L'hémoglobine est d'humeur généreuse, ça coupe et ça flingue et ça explose... en dépit d'un filmage correct dans l'ensemble mais parfois limite.

Le souci, c'est que lorsqu'on gratte un peu, on se rend bien compte que cela reste un pur produit Marvel, bien formaté comme il faut, sous une fausse allure de film voyou. L'histoire avec sa meuf est tarte, son histoire à lui est carrément grotesque et pitoyable : ça ne porterait pas à conséquence si le film savait rester dans le ton hystéro-bouffon à l'humour de collégien, s'il savait l'assumer quoi qu'il advienne, mais la guimauve sous-jacente est palpable.

Ainsi que la morale à deux balles et la naïveté qui vont avec. Comme dans les navrants Kick-Ass auxquels Deadpool ressemble beaucoup. Au moins, on rigole beaucoup plus avec Deadpool même si on s'en lasse vite. Il n'arrive décidément pas à maintenir son rythme pop-corn et parasite ses propres effets en s'adressant de façon récurrente à la caméra, comme un gars qui brandit une pancarte "mort de rire" avant chaque calembour. Et après aussi.

A force de vouloir mélanger l'eau de rose à l'acide caustique et de ménager en vérité une "bonne conduite" pour son cancre des super-héros, le film abuse de sa fausse complicité avec le public : ses clins d'oeil répétés lourdingues en font alors un gentil animateur du Club Med.

Bien que maladroite, cette tentative de déconstiper les marveleries ambiantes est pourtant encourageante. Mais pas vraiment concluante.… Expand

Compared to a lot of other big action films, I genuinely believe Deadpool deserves the hype and praise it's been receiving. This film merges great comedy with awesome action in a sleek, stylish manner. Okay, so some parts here and there didn't quite make sense and some jokes were a bit dry, but with the low budget this film had they clearly made the most out of it. Como película le doy 6/10. No es mala, pero tampoco pasa de ser 'del montón':

Basado principalmente en bromas sexuales, referencias directas y tonterías que se ven venir de lejos, además de que fuerza demasiado las cosas en la mayoría de las escenas (opino que el humor hace más gracia cuando no está impostado y resulta más natural). Masacre (me resisto a llamarlo 'Deadpool'. Lo siento, pero llevo muchos años llamándolo Masacre como para cambiarlo ahora) solía ser mucho más ingenioso y cáustico en sus comentarios. Más parecido a los Simpson (en sus buenos tiempos) y menos a Padre de Familia (Family Guy).

- El relativamente bajo presupuesto puede haber influido, pero las escenas de lucha no me parecen tampoco nada del otro mundo, y considero que no se debe tanto a un fallo en el apartado de efectos especiales como a una actuación y puesta en escena mediocres.

- También en mi opinión, falla estrepitosamente en el apartado de darle profundidad al personaje. Es cierto que se puede llegar a empatizar con él, pero creo que la manera de abordar el asunto tampoco es adecuada. Una 'historia de amor poco común' que, salvo por algunos detalles, no tiene nada de extraordinario. Además de que arruina gran parte de la atmósfera amenazadora del personaje. En los cómics, Masacre solía ser un profesional, un mercenario egoísta y sin lazos afectivos que, aunque resultaba simpático, no tenía cualidades verdaderamente redentoras. Las únicas ocasiones en las que actuaba como un antihéroe (o incluso un héroe) eran aquéllas en las que intervenía su obsesión (más o menos) secreta de ser querido y admirado por ser 'el bueno' de su propia historia, no porque realmente le preocupara hacer lo correcto (salvo quizás, en contadas excepciones). En la película tratan de reflejar esto, pero al mismo tiempo estropean el trasfondo oscuro y la atmósfera amenazadora del personaje, haciéndolo parecer más una especie de idiota psicótico (pero que tiene corazón), que aquél asesino frío y despiadado que resultaba divertido a la par que intimidatorio. El resultado es una especie de 'chico malo' poco cuajado, sin demasiada personalidad, y que no tiene más que unas cuantas bromas sosas y bastante 'gore' para ayudarlo a salir adelante.

- Finalmente, Ryan Reynolds no me parece el actor adecuado para el papel. Quitando el hecho de que invirtió mucho en este proyecto y lo promocionó todo lo que pudo, tampoco es que tuviera detrás suyo una brillante carrera como actor, y es probable que simplemente viera esta película como una oportunidad para aumentar su fama y su caché en general.

Aparte de su mediocre habilidad como intérprete, tampoco da el perfil físico: Masacre siempre fue un hombre de anchas espaldas y músculos abultados (como casi todos los personajes de cómic creados en los 90). Es cierto que en las etapas actuales lo dibujan más esbelto y estilizado, pero es precisamente para adaptar el modelo del cómic al aspecto de la película, y no al revés (como muchos parecen creer).… Expand

TBH I hate the direction Superhero movies are going today. In the 90th and early 2000th superheroes had very high motives to do their job - to protect people, to keep peace. And now we are slowly being brought to this - clown of a hero. HisTBH I hate the direction Superhero movies are going today. His every 5th word is "balls". Very "funny" indeed. I really hope this movie and other superheroes movies, like "X-man" and "Avengers" will never cross.… Expand

I 100% got what I wanted from this movie, it was fast, funny and violent. I didn't expect anything less from a Deadpool movie.

Ryan Reynolds is fantastic as Deadpool. He makes you care for the guy behind the mask and he captures the comedicI 100% got what I wanted from this movie, it was fast, funny and violent. I didn't expect anything less from a Deadpool movie.

Ryan Reynolds is fantastic as Deadpool. He makes you care for the guy behind the mask and he captures the comedic brilliance of the Deadpool character. Everybody else does a good job, don't think there was a bad performance anywhere in the film.

This film won't be for everybody but if you know anything about Deadpool and enjoy the character on any level then this film does him justice.… Expand

I went in with high expectations, as I had heard incredible things about it, but I walked out feeling disappointed. It focused way too much on the humour, which I know is the point of Deadpool, but it really went OTT, as there was humour thrown into a scene where it really wasn't needed. At all. The amount of times he broke the fourth wall were way too many, and the scene that he acknowledged the fact he was breaking it was really cringey and frankly pointless, as it didn't add to the humour, it only took away precious time that could've been invested in more action sequences, which were relatively good. About the humour: when profanity was used, it did have the desired effect, and the whole gag with the taxi driver Dopinder was hilarious. Also, the bartender Weasel (played by T.J Miller) was hilarious, his IDGAF attitude really fitting in with the atmosphere of the film. Even Blind Al had a few funny one-liners, Ed Skrien (Ajax) put in a great performance as the antagonist, a good casting choice in picking a British guy to play the villain, as he sticks in your head mainly thanks to his accent and general British bad-assery. Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds played Deadpool very well, another great casting choice, as his natural humour made Deadpool even funnier than the script was meant to make him. All in all, Deadpool was a decent film with decent action sequences, a good cast, bad dialogue and a way too commercially-friendly vibe, instead of the desired super(or in this case anti)hero vibe.… Expand

If you wanna see a superhero movie that curses or shows a lot of blood with outstanding humor and portrayal by Ryan Reynolds, this movie is for you! Trust me, Deadpool has tons of jokes on his sleeve that'll make you laugh like hell.

Hilarious and smart jokes. The action was top notch. Didn't especially love that it was a origins story but I didn't mind it because it was so fun. Ryan also owns as Deadpool.
