The other day I saw Brampton’s Own and I really liked that it wasn’t just about romance, but about character development and realities. It wasn’t sappy like a lot of romance movies are. I liked that it showed the real nature of leaving high school and then returning to your hometown toThe other day I saw Brampton’s Own and I really liked that it wasn’t just about romance, but about character development and realities. I liked that it showed the real nature of leaving high school and then returning to your hometown to reconnect with your old friends who have moved on. It showed how much life changes. I thought it was wholesome, real, and I even laughed out loud at a few parts! I definitely recommend seeing this movie.… Expand

Brampton’s Own was a great movie to watch with friends on a quiet night in. This is a story of a man who returns to his hometown after 12 years of trying out for the MLB and reconnects with his family and high school sweetheart. Dustin, played by Alex Russell, must cope with the fact thatBrampton’s Own was a great movie to watch with friends on a quiet night in. This is a story of a man who returns to his hometown after 12 years of trying out for the MLB and reconnects with his family and high school sweetheart. Dustin, played by Alex Russell, must cope with the fact that everyone back home continued to move on without him and now he has to catch up and really fight for the girl he wants. I felt like Alex Russell did a great job portraying all the emotions this character experiences, making it a great experience for me as a viewer. I definitely recommend this to movie lovers.… Expand

The eclectic cast in Brampton’s Own is was the star of the show. I really loved each and every character, I even found humor in the ones you are supposed to hate. Not seeing many romantic flicks, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Brampton’s Own. I was left pleasantly surprised, this being a fun baseball film that didn’t feel too cliché and didn’t try to take itself seriously. Alex Russell plays a AAA baseball player, Dustin, who decides to quit his baseball career to move back to his hometown of Brampton. When he returns home, he runs into his high school sweetheart and decides to try to spark up their relationship again. The movie is very comical and makes fun of small town dramas as I found myself laughing throughout much of the film through the antics Dustin goes through with the town locals. Brampton’s Own overall was a great feel good experience for me.… Expand
