Veering heavily into sexual territory, the film is more a gothic melodrama than a horror film. It certainly feels like a waste of not only Cage's talent (although the actor has a climactic, literally fiery scene that will forever change the way you think about the pop song "Leader of the Pack"), but also Potente, whose potential has been sadly underrealized in American films. It was a decent movie. They could have done a lot more with this movie. I didn't like how the movie has all this stupid music in background throughout the entire movie. It made a lot of it seem cheesy.

While not quite up to the outrageous level of so many Cage features in recent years, the films displays enough "WTF" moments to satisfy the most prolific actor's many fans who can't wait to see what he's up to next, and leaves little for the rest of us.
