Beloved Sisters

Summary: Starting in 1788, rebellious poet Friedrich Schiller (Florian Stetter) and two penniless sisters experience an unforgettable period which will eventually bind them forever. Unhappily married Caroline von Beulwitz (Herszsprung) and her shy sister Charlotte von Lengefeld (Confurius) take their oath to share everything. Schiller marries Charlotte so they may pursue their ménage à trois under the guise of convention, and Caroline, whose novel is published anonymously by Schiller, leaves her husband.
