A record-breaking, cliché-breaking and another miracle movie from the Russo brothers. A movie that plays great and makes you laugh, chews in its mouth and finally spits out a kernel of a true fan.

The movie has a lot of characters, all of them are stars, but we all know who the main star is: Thanos! Because he is definitely the best villain in comic book movies and everyone is praising him.
The only thing that bothered me a little was that Star-Lord was hitting the water a little aimlessly and he doesn't understand what situation he is in! And he really turns the page, but let's be honest. We were not satisfied.
In the end, I can say that I watched this movie more than the end of the game because I loved it from the bottom of my heart and it was full of surprises for me.… Expand

This is a Marvel fan's dream of a movie. It's got almost all of the MCU heroes, great action scenes, and good pacing. My only complaints are that Thanos is a very stupid villain, and I wish the Guardians of the Galaxy had a bigger role in the story.

Marvel has become a shell of its former self, a mere imitation of the heights achieved by the peak of the MCU. While some movies become worse with that kind of hindsight, this movie certainly is not that. Despite what the MCU has unfortunately become, this movie is all the stronger for truly showing what the universe and characters are and what stories they are capable of telling. While its unlikely anyone reading this review have not seen it, by the offchance you haven't I cannot sing its praises well enough. A fantastic ride the entire way through.… Expand

The Russo Brothers did this film, the characters, the scenes, and the action, to utter perfection. Everything is perfectly balanced like all things should be.

For that I give my first 10/10, this is what I expect from a perfect film, I have no problems, and I have nothing against this film that would make me drop a point.

Truly Outstanding. This is Film history right here, And I'm glad I was a part of the ride for this long.

Disney and Marvel will never get to a point like this ever again. I don't see it happening.… Expand

Even though this movie isn't one of the best, it's still a great movie and I recommend any person go and watch it. But not on the opening week of course. Just wait until the week after opening week or the next because a crapload of people wanted to see it. If you’ve followed the MCU movies then you know this is what they have all been leading to. Josh Brolin brings Thanos to the big screen and does a great job. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is a visual spectacle from start to finish; seriously, some of the best VFX work I've ever seen. The entire VFX team can pat themselves on the back for this for the rest of their lives because what they've accomplished here is nothing to scoff at.

As for the rest of the movie, I felt like it was just a lot of noisy action without the kind of meaningful character moments that we see in Guardians of the Galaxy Volumes 1 and 2. The movie was padded out with an unnecessary amount of fillery action scenes and cheesy one-liners that cheapened the overall quality of the movie. Soundtrack was also very generic and didn't have anything memorable to offer.

The plot is relatively simple: a big bad purple guy wants to find all of the 6 Infinity McGuffins so they can do bad things. But simple is good! Too many movies try to get too fancy and "deep" with their plots, which usually just makes them hard to follow for the average moviegoer. So I don't actually have any issues with the plot.

Thanos, at this point, has been overhyped to such heights that I was expecting his character to blow me away... but he never did. So far he's just a generic villain who's doing bad things because they think it's a good thing. I hope Endgame will change my mind about him.

There was also this weird scene where Thanos threw Gamora to her death and it was played off like it was somehow unexpected and tragic, but it was so painfully predictable from the second Red Skull set the conditions for getting the stone. Did the writers seriously expect this to be a big shock to the audience? Really?

It felt like all of the interesting, good stuff was crammed into the last 30 minutes of the movie which is a bit disappointing to see because it just makes everything else seem like filler. I'll give this one a 7/10 regardless, mostly for the visuals.… Expand

It is very easy on the most part to see why they are highly regarded critically, though those more critical of their work have raised criticisms that can be agreed with by me.

Loved the first 'Avengers' film, while 'Age of Ultron' was more problematic and generally a lesser Marvel effort though still having a good deal to admire. 'Infinity War' for me was the best one, or the one enjoyed most. Would also go far to say it's one of Marvel's overall best, and a perfect example of how to do a superhero film and how to balance a large cast of characters and a lot going on. Can totally see why it has been so positively reviewed and it deserves the positive hype from personal opinion, though would hesitate in calling it flawless or one of the best films ever.

More could have been done with the very end, which felt like it ended a little too suddenly without resolving everything to full effect. It may very well have been leaving room for a follow-up, but to me it's always been dangerous somewhat to do that just in case a follow-up doesn't happen.

Scarlett Johansson also has far too little to do, with too short screen-time. Black Widow is the only character to me who felt underdeveloped and Johansson struggles to do much with it.

However, the rest of the cast are spot on. A big shout out goes to Josh Brolin, who makes for a menacing and melancholic Thanos. Speaking of Thanos, Marvel have tended to underwhelm with their villains, underwriting them and giving them vague or inconsistent motivations. Thanos is easily one of the best Marvel villains along with Hela, one of the most interesting and of surprising complexity where he is a threat but one can see his point of view.

Robert Downey Jnr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are also standouts of a near-uniformly great all-star cast. There are a lot of characters here, but somehow on the most part it didn't feel like there were too many (a big danger with films with many characters and a trap fallen into quite a lot). They hold a lot of intrigue and manage not to be too sided and true to character.

Likewise, the story is very eventful with a busy main story and several subplots. Yet it didn't feel sprawling and managed to make sense and never lose engagement. Basically it's a non-stop thrill-ride and tautly paced, with some reveals that leaves one gasping, twists that genuinely shock, rousing entrances and some of the finest action sequences of any Marvel film or any film recently, that are truly exciting and big in scale without being too noisy or exhausting. The climax is truly epic, in scale, spectacle, thrills and emotion.

'Avengers: Infinity War' hugely impresses in the script too, with snappy banter, hilarious quips (along with 'Thor: Ragnarok' this is one of the funniest Marvel films, Thor has the best of it), tension and an emotional poignancy not seen to this extent or as strongly in Marvel films. It's all intelligently handled and the humour didn't feel misplaced or inappropriate to me, this is a Marvel film that delivers on the spectacle and thrills while also having brains and heart.

Marvel never disappoints when it comes to the production values. 'Avengers: Infinity War' is not an exception. It's beautifully and atmospherically designed, slickly filmed and edited and the special effects, not overused or abused, are some of the most extravagant and spectacular for any film seen recently. It's tightly directed and dynamically and rousingly scored.

Overall, an excellent film and one of my standout viewings of all the films seen so far from the first half, and overall, of 2018. 9/10 Bethany Cox… Expand

Infinity War is the pinnacle of what blockbuster films should be. Directed by the Russo brothers, they manage to achieve the almost impossible feat of culminating all the characters and their stories into one epic film.

My opinion) this was alot better than Endgame. Let me explain why. 1st of all, Endgame only had the original Avengers. BUT this one had spiderman, gotg, Bucky, ETC. 2nd, yes, I know alot of people faded away in IW, but the best character inMy opinion) this was alot better than Endgame. What I’m trying to say is, we got spiderman, gotg, and ETC at the end. But we lost BLACK WIDOW, CAPTAIN AMERICA, AND IRON MAN! And anyways I love this movie. From spiderman being treated like a son to Iron man, and to Thor screwing everything up for not aiming for the head. There are some famous quotes in this movie. “You should have aimed for the head.”- Thanos
