August 32nd on Earth takes way too long to get going, but the chemistry between its leads helps things along. More than anything, however, it’s the incredible economy of Villeneuve’s images that keeps things together, his shots becoming tighter and more expressive as the story falls apart.

There are striking images here (especially in the scenes outside Salt Lake City), Martin gives a very likeable performance, and individual scenes display intelligence and wit. The photography was interesting and careful, it had a combination between long shots and a sudden cuts, this ones sometimes were well, once and again were very destabilized. About the script, I have not words to describe this, in a good way and in a bad way. A bizarre story which you can try to assemble some puzzles with the events that happens, but this ones are so much different each others. So, you can't really understand what did you just watch, but it leaves you a lot to think about.… Expand
