Lack of originality and self-awareness prove to be a fatal combination. There is something way too familiar about Hoffman's rites-of-passage portrait of wasted youth, with its inevitable soundtrack of fashionable angst-rock and predictably retro-cool cult-movie influences. Read full review

I would say that this is not the best movie that I've ever seen, but it certainly is watchable. Don't know if I watch it a second time, but hey I managed to end it in one go. Familiar faces like Krysten Ritter, Iggy Pop, Goran Visnjic and Nick Nolte appear throughout the movie, trying not toI would say that this is not the best movie that I've ever seen, but it certainly is watchable. Familiar faces like Krysten Ritter, Iggy Pop, Goran Visnjic and Nick Nolte appear throughout the movie, trying not to spoil how much some of them are really present. I liked the performance from "The B From Apartment 23", she was somehow different and more natural, feminine-like. Visnjic was unrecognizable, and acted fairly good, so job well done on that costume and character. By the way, Benedict Samuel looks like that in real life, so I'm not really sure if it is acting, or not.… Expand
