A nasty, cleverly revealed monster might have redeemed some of the monotony of the first (seemingly endless) hour, but the beasty here manages to be ludicrous, dull, and unoriginal somehow all at once, compromising the marginal hope you may have been holding out for the film. Read full review

I want to say that it wasn't the best movie, like it could have went more in depth with it's characters and what not. But then again you have to consider it's made up of a series of tapes that they apparently got. Giving a real sci fi "what if" feel to it. Sure, rock crabs, that's completelyI want to say that it wasn't the best movie, like it could have went more in depth with it's characters and what not. But then again you have to consider it's made up of a series of tapes that they apparently got. Giving a real sci fi "what if" feel to it. Sure, rock crabs, that's completely stupid. But why are we thinking aliens are going to be not stupid in some sort of way. They won't be our "normal" or our "advanced". So it was a real release to what normal movies are now a days. For example, I'll watch this movie 20 more times before watching one Paranormal Activity. It was cool, the editing was great, the story was pretty good, and most of all it wasn't a clone of everything currently out there. Thinking outside the box for the win guys.… Expand

Apollo 18 is a movie I haven't seen it years watching it today I still liked it as much on first watch of course this biased because I am a space fanatic I love anything what is involved with it so this movie I knew I would be interested number 1 is an horror mystery in space which is really good i think if this would of had more budget it would got better reception and I thought it would of improved also if they had more budget but I think this movie is awesome by the mystery and the characters are ehhh nothing special but the mystery is very cool and why we did not return to the moon like their is astronauts that are dead and when they get effect by DOD which is like this spider which is very cool also I thought it would be silly nope not too me I think this is underrated I do understand why people don't like it mainly to that budget they had and the ending is not the best I did not like that they decided that ending why... but after all that and cool horror movie about apollo 18 so I give an Apollo 18 an B+… Expand

I don't understand why everyone didn't like Apollo 18 that much. Yes, this is a mid-budget film that does not claim to be films of the Interstellar or Space Odyssey level. But there is his own charm in pseudo-documentaries. Apollo 18, like Europa Report, looks unusual and fresh for films ofI don't understand why everyone didn't like Apollo 18 that much. Apollo 18, like Europa Report, looks unusual and fresh for films of its genre. Apollo 18 is a great thriller and has tension and suspense. Yes, the lack of budget affects the visual component, but is it so important in a chamber trailer, where almost all the action takes place in a small aircraft? In general, I liked the film, I do not share the general opinion about the boredom of the film and the lack of suspense.… Expand

Completely and utterly boring. Claiming they used "real" footage and built a movie around it is akin to me taking a picture of a tree and then making a movie about them eating your house pets. 20 minutes in and I had to check the timer because it felt like I had been watching for 3 hours.Completely and utterly boring. There was no connection with the characters, you didn't care whether they got off the moon and I really didn't care how it ended. I just wanted it to end. The only thing that kept this movie rolling was the feeling that I spent $4 renting it so I better just finish it.… Expand

This movie had an interesting premise for the first 10 minutes. The remainder of this movie might as well not have been shot. Combine the 'Blair Witch Project', '2001', and 'Alien' in a blender, and you would have had the same movie. Forget it.
