A very soft movie with wonderful animation, likable characters and a moral dilemma.
The main character is morally gray and actually evolves as the movie progresses, her love interest is not a generic character and also evolves and has a big part in the story arc.
The supporting cast isA very soft movie with wonderful animation, likable characters and a moral dilemma.
The main character is morally gray and actually evolves as the movie progresses, her love interest is not a generic character and also evolves and has a big part in the story arc.
The supporting cast is charming and lovable, though not very present (which is not inheritly a problem).
The lore is not overlapping with the slice of life aspect.
If you're looking for lore and exploration of of an expending world in the fantasy genre this movie might not be for you.… Expand

A rom-com mixed with magic and fantasy. Its fun and entertaining, the art is beautiful. It's very interesting seeing the story unfold and the perspectives of the characters and their motivations + backstories.

A great movie with themes of lost, love, and cats. At first Miyo seems obsessed with Kento and comes off as extremely unhealthy and creepy. But later it contextualizes it with her relationship to Kento as a cat and her mother who divorced and left her at a very young age.

The antagonist was actually quite fun and the story perfectly captures the aura of old Folk Lore tales. Another well wrote character was Miyo's Stepmother's cat (Hilarious as it sounds) who turns out to be a major part of the story later on and mirrors Miyo's self realizations.… Expand

Nice romantic movie with a touch of magical. I like the story. Fun with emotions. I would say the first 3/4 of the movie were the best. I found the magical part in the end to be more boring. Somehow I lost interest at that point. Maybe because I saw so many Ghibli movies, that I knew whatNice romantic movie with a touch of magical. I like the story. Fun with emotions. Cute but also a bit troublesome, I mean it's an animated fantasy story, but still, the obsession theme casts a shadow on the more important issues like depression and the understanding of where and how you're looking for love when you cannot find it at home or with friends.
