Summary:

As he proved in his 2017 drama, “Harmonium,” Fukada excels at unfurling near-hysterical narratives in restrained, sometimes icily sterile scenes. But while the earlier film pulled us in, this one repels, its cloudy colors and depressing mood making us long for a single moment of joy.

This is a strange one. The story is intriguing, domestic and relatively sad but I'm not sure I followed all the details. The characters are interesting and its a well made film - its somewhat thought provoking. Yes, if you like Asian films like this then I'd say its worth a watch.
