ABJan 19, 2005And now, EA ruins "The Sims." You loved their destruction of "Goldeneye." How about their destroying "LOTR" and "Catwoman. (with the help of the horrid movie)." This game is tedious, bland, and repetitious. Nothing more needs to be said.

SeanM.Feb 24, 2007This game was sort of fun in the beginning, but after awhile it gets boring, I absolutely was disappointed this game is horrible compared to the previous Sims, even bustin' out was better, I got so sick of really working for my money, it wore the buttons out on my controller so badly, do NOT get this game, it is very bad.

BlueFalconDec 6, 2004The sims has always been a bit tedious. Mostly it seemed like you'd be doing chores in the previous games. Well now there's less of a focus on that which is good idea. But they replaced it with something even worse. You need to gain a reputation, but it's achieved through even more very tedious and repetitive means than the previous games.

AceGamezWith quirky graphics, familiar sounds, a nice variation in missions and tasks, a high level of interaction where jobs are concerned and some great new power socials, The Urbz is a worthy addition to most peoples' collection.
-
GMR MagazineDoesn't reinvent the gameplay of its predecessors, but it does refine it. Unfortunately, it's not all for the better. [Jan 2005, p.128]

games(TM)The Urbz feels like a step back for the franchise; despite EA's efforts to bring gamers a 'console exclusive' there's not a lot on offer here. Fans won't find anything new, but newcomers may well discover the pleasure of the series and seek out EA's back catalogue of simulated lifestyles. [Christmas 2004, p.114]
