Beautiful game. Perhaps the reason why I bought the Xbox in the first place. If you like the movies, it's guaranteed you'll love this game.

I expected a lot more from this game. It just did not excel in the graphics which an xbox game should and the game is short, with 13 levels that take about 30 munutes or less to beat! You can be 3 characters (Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas) and there is a secret character! Don't get too excited though, I played through the whole game hoping that I would get to be Gandalf, which the I expected a lot more from this game. He has the same moves and weapon as Aragorn. The game is pretty fun, but it is very short so it does not last long. Expand

GREAT GAME. Now I can actually look at this game with pride. Unlike my other rating for Medal of Honor: Frontline, which I gave a big fat 0, this is a game that you can play for hours, even the same level over and over again. There is great movie to game changes, great music, and great gameplay. I admit the game is a little short, but it is worth buying and playing. But if you have a bad GREAT GAME. But if you have a bad day at school, just throw down your books, turn on your Xbox console, and place Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers game in. Soon you'll be impaling your weapon into another orc's flesh, with the choice of being either Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, or my favorite, which is the special character, Ilsidor. Finally a game worth playing. Expand

The game is alright. It isn't anything too spectacular. The graphics are fine. The music however was stellar. But the gameplay is where this title falls short. The combo and power attacks needed to be tweaked a bit. Because they have no real power when your player is surrounded by 10 goblins. Sure you can turtle up in these situations and block it out but there are some levels which you are timed so that strategy doesn't work. Also charged power attacks for the most part are useless since they can only be used when stationary and during this time you can't block either. The gameplay could have been executed a little better and with it alot of frusteration could have been saved. All in all, don't buy this game just burn it off your hard drive. Expand

The graphics are good (but not fantastic or shocking). The gameplay is basically hack and slash, there are only few combos and they are rarely used. You basically use four buttons and this makes the gameply weak like final fight series. The game hand to hand is very close to the movie than any other ever made. This game is purely for lord of the rings seriously hard core fan. You can The graphics are good (but not fantastic or shocking). Not being able to control where you look is a HUGE drawback, and the AI characters will get in your way at times, and some levels seem near impossible....but it's still fun...

I give it a 10, because of the easy controls the awesome video and sound and the gameplay is excellent tho I beat it in a few hours I still play it more than any other xbox game because its so damned addicting, cant wait until they release return of the king if the first 2 video games were this good.

Everything in Two Towers - from the rich, lush environments to the lovingly rendered boss monsters - comes impressively close to matching its cinematic counterpart. [Feb/Mar 2003, p.76]

The only real knock against Two Towers is its limited replayability. [Feb 2003, p.68]
