This game is an excellent arcade port, and reviewers are expecting more than that. it deserves at least a nine.

I like this game. It's pretty simple, but sniping enemies in a bunch of different situations is entertaining. The graphics aren't impressive, but they have an arcadey quality that make them somewhat stylish. I like the storylines here too - they're so ridiculous and fun. To top it off, there's actually 4 full games in this package. All play similarly, but that's I like this game. 1. Scratch the "Complete" BS - this really should've been called "Silent Scope 3 Plus," because the first two games are so short that your time is best spent uncovering the third game's myriad secrets. [Mar 2004, p.85]
  2. A short-lived one-trick pony that's pretty much run its course. [Mar 2004, p.101]

It looks like a dog's dinner, so unless you have a forgiving nature and can look past surface effects, this may not be for you. For fans of arcade gun-games though, this is about as good as it gets.
