PROS: 1. Realistic tables and physics. 2. Nice high score tracking system. 3. There's no other xbox game like it. 4. All 4 tables are fun. CONS: 1. It seriously could have used a custom soundtrack. 2. The hot girls on the cover are just to lure people in and have nothing to do with the game. 3. It feels bare bones; it could have used some extra features or options.

Extremely fun pinball game! It does have only 4 tables but still great fun.

Hands-down the best video pinball game ever. The only thing keeping it from a perfect 10 is its lack of tables. The 4 tables here are all great, but I expected at least double that many. Now, if Iridon could license real pinball tables for Pure Pinball 2... that would absolutely ROCK!

Being a big fan of pinball myself I was really looking forward to this game. And for those who like the realism and skill it takes to master a real table you wont be disappointed. However...call me spoiled, but I recall a game developed for the "Sega Genesis" that had numerous variations of tables, multiple themes, and an option to create your own table completely from scratch. This game Being a big fan of pinball myself I was really looking forward to this game. And for those who like the realism and skill it takes to master a real table you wont be disappointed. However...call me spoiled, but I recall a game developed for the "Sega Genesis" that had numerous variations of tables, multiple themes, and an option to create your own table completely from scratch. This game for what you pay for is definately worth interest, but as fas as pushing the envelope and making either replicas of licenced tables(i.e. Aerosmith, Black Knight, Jurrasic Park, or Guns & Roses) or using the raw power of the Xbox to allow for extras like maybe a color change option for the ball (or different balls)[i.e. skull, baseball, soccer ball, basketball, sun, moon, etc...] theme variations, secret levels, double (or triple) level tables, interactive parts, or even a two player option are just not there. The game for what it is, is great. I sure hope they plan on doing a sequel, but lets hope they read this review and take notes on it first. Expand

Great game for what it is. But I agree with one of the last reviewers, if Pure Pinball 2 can license a few well known tables (KISS!), it would rock!

It's physics are absolutely true to life, and its tilts - a propers smiting for too much cheating - are fairly issued. [June 2004, p.88]

The triggers control the flippers, and the ball physics are outstanding - every hit feels like it has real weight. [Nov 2004, p.77]
  3. Although the game doesn't have too many bonus features and the different tables are similar in design, you still get 4 challenging and very realistic looking pinball tables at your disposal.
