I watch the show, and to have made a game such as this is brilliant. It just puts the player in the shoes of being a slayer, lets hope a sequel comes out soon!

When I first started playing it at the videogame store it was all I could do to not get sucked totally into this game. Normally I rent a game a couple of times before I buy it, I didn't in this case and I should have. At first glance this game is really, REALLY good. but ... it's the same things over and over. Now I let my friends borrow it after playing it for a bit and borrow When I first started playing it at the videogame store it was all I could do to not get sucked totally into this game. Its great! First thing, she's a babe. She wears red leather trousers (thats pants for the yanks). Did I say tight? She looks better than Jessica Rabbit! Also the game is fun, after a hard day nothing, I say nothing beats staking vamps. Oh and make em bleed first.

As a Buffy game this rocks. As a fighting game, a fun beat 'em up with occasional frustration. As a swimming game - Buffy don't swim. Some poor and occasionally frustrating level design.

Best beat-m-up in ages - the only drawback is the jumping can be eratic but the fun in beating the crap out of the bad guys is great!

Fun fighting game, sometimes frustrating. I wish there was a little something more to the puzzles. The dreamer's realm (the only puzzle based level) reminded me of a cross between Super Mario 64 and Alice.

I missed Buffy. Every day, I watched the series on DVD and one of my favorite Buffy episodes was the pilot episode "Welcome to the Hellmouth." Reminds me of the good ol' days of the WB network. Played in 2020. I remember renting this game back in the day and I remembered it being fun so I added it to my collection. This game exceeded my expectations. The core action gameplay is excellent and (nearly) everything about it has aged gracefully. My playthrough took 8 hours so its a little short but that's not necessarily a bad thing as the game never overstays its welcome. I wouldPlayed in 2020. I would give this a 10 out of 10 however late in the game there are some very annoying sections where you can fall into bottomless pits tp your death and you are required to restart the level from the beginning. However this did not prevent me from finishing the game. Recommended. Expand

Its not a bad game. Once you get past the how to level. It becomes an ok game. I would say give it a try

  1. Video games based on TV franchises don't always live up to the shows that inspired them. Fortunately, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an exception.

Graphically sharp and combined with gameplay that has been similarly honed, Buffy is one of those rare titles that does the Xbox justice. [Fall 2002, p.111]
  3. I'd say there are about 15-20 hours of play here, but I'd probably double that just for me as I kept replaying so many of the boards due to the fights I got in (and that next to last mission that I so vehemently despise).
