    The weapons and humour in this game are outstanding. But the gameplay variety could really use some work. It's a single player only shooter, and the goals always seem to involve blowing something up.

    Well - granted the game was a riot. but if I want comedy I'll rent a movie. I expect good game play, with comedy being a bonus. The graphics were HORRIBLE. Honestly the worst I had ever seen. It's a basic shootem up - with some from what I hear nifty weapons (I couldn't stomach the game long enough to play with everything). It's basically a shoot-em-up game with Well - granted the game was a riot. but if I want comedy I'll rent a movie. I expect good game play, with comedy being a bonus. The graphics were HORRIBLE. Honestly the worst I had ever seen. It's a basic shootem up - with some from what I hear nifty weapons (I couldn't stomach the game long enough to play with everything). It's basically a shoot-em-up game with hilarious dialoge but Commodore128 like graphics. Ok - that was too harsh, but the graphics were so bad - nothing can make up for it.     This one is pure genious, folks. A&D is probably the most quality third person shooter I've played on the XBox, with the exception of MechAssault. The story elements are definitely original. The action is tried-and-true 3ps, but with a few extra elements not found anywhere else (jetpacks, black-hole grenades, and the landshark gun). The gameplay is overly repetitive and gets old after a short bit of playing. However, the cutscenes are hilarious and the Shark Gun and Topsy Turvy Bomb give at least 30 minutes of pleasure.     Fun gameplay for about 20 mins then gets really boring. Graphics are a little low. Guns are so cool. But gameplay just cant last. Only a 5.

    Quite simply this is the best 3rd person shooter on the xbox. While the graphics are a little rough, the humorous cut scenes really propel you along: encouraging you to get through the game. The humor is also present in the, admittedly shallow, weapon selection. Later in the game there are several jetpac levels spicing things up a little.     Armed and Dangerous: 8/10: While certainly far from perfect Armed and Dangerous avoids quite a few of the pitfalls that have encumbered recent 3rd person shooters and it has a Shrek meets Monty Python sense of humor to boot.

    What pitfalls you ask? Well there are two in particular; irritating and boring weapons and frustrating platforming. There are three main weapons in Armed and    Armed and Dangerous: 8/10: While certainly far from perfect Armed and Dangerous avoids quite a few of the pitfalls that have encumbered recent 3rd person shooters and it has a Shrek meets Monty Python sense of humor to boot.

    What pitfalls you ask? Well there are two in particular; irritating and boring weapons and frustrating platforming. There are three main weapons in Armed and Dangerous. A main machine gun that is so darn effective and auto targets so well that it almost makes all the other weapons useless. A rocket launcher that is to effective and can make the later levels easier than they should have been. (Great for shooting snipers and just a trek back to the pub for a reload. Yes you reload at a pub,) And the Landshark gun which releases a great white shark that somewhat slowly eats you opponents in a hilarious manner.

    The Landshark gun is loads of fun. So much so in fact that I often found myself risking my neck to use it rather than a more appropriate firearm. (It is however pretty good at taking out machine gun nests.) The rest of the weapons are either boilerplate (sniper rifle), useless (mortar) or silly and useless (instant Black Hole).

    As for platforming there is none, only some simple jet-pack scenes to break up the monotony. The game also pretends to have squad elements as you control three characters two indirectly. Ignoring this and simply fighting with your main guy is highly recommended.

    While the cut scenes are funny and very tasteless (and in one cannibal scene borderline racist) I was more impressed on the voice work during the fighting itself. It never seemed to get old (How rare is that.)

    The graphics and gameplay get better as the game progresses and new weapons become available. An overall fun romp I find myself still picking up Armed and Dangerous after completing the game. Gotta love that Landshark gun.    … Expand

    Plutôt moche et très bourrin ! l'univers décalé hystéro-bouffon ne parvient pas à convaincre malgré une VF intégrale de bon aloi. C'est toujours la même chose : dégommer des troufions par centaines ad nauseam et qui n'arrêtent pas de réapparaître... forcément ça soûle assez rapidement. Un petit jeu trop limité et répétitif, pour ne pas dire minable.

    I played the game through games with gold on series x and I really enjoyed. The story is weird and funny and the gameplay is fun old school third person shooter stuff.

    Trying to rate from a 2003 perspective. I think graphics is below par even for 2003, and the gameplay gets repetitive very quickly even though in the beginning it feels like a more robust game.
    Not sure if you need to try it in 2022.

    playing this in 2020 just opened my eyes of how games sometimes should be.

    this game is not serious, the story doesn't matter, the graphics are pretty bad, the animations are freaking **** but so **** that it is good, gameplay just is straight up pretty fun and okay. so now you think if all those things are not good and the gameplay is okay why would this game be an 8 out of 10.    playing this in 2020 just opened my eyes of how games sometimes should be.

    so now you think if all those things are not good and the gameplay is okay why would this game be an 8 out of 10. Thats just the fact that this game knows its a game and never forgets that. The world in this game is sort of interesting but I shouldnt really focus on it because its the comedy to focus on. For example they think a character is undercooled so they come to the conclusion they have to keep him warm, than another character comes to the idea to put him inside a rhino and when they are pulling that off they literally insurt this character into the rhino's ass and little we know that rhino was still alive.

    I know this is bad humour but with the graphics and animations that ****ty it just makes it wonderfull and wondering wtf you as the player are playing. I bought this game for almost nothing and I was looking for cupper and than found gold because of this game.

    If you like silly weird games than this is a game for you if you want something more sirious just get out of here and search further as this game is a lot of fun for people that want something silly and okay to play.

    PS: I played this on the xbox one as it is backwards compatible and it runs smooth af.    … Expand

    Armed And Dangerous isn´t an inventive shooter at all. But it doesn´t have to, because the things it does always feel right. The gameplay is action packed and straight forward, the cutscenes and story are hilarious and the characters are special. Every shooter and comedy enthusiast should play this game at least once. Great fun!
