Overall, Vampire Crawlers is a fun and somewhat addicting game that is easy to get into and challenging enough to keep you playing even if the content seems a little on the slim side. And in the immortal words of Leslie Nelson from Dracula: Dead and Loving It, “I’m drinking vine (wine) and eating chicken!” but in this case, its floor chickens.

This masterful spin-off translates the franchise's addictive essence into a surprisingly deep card-based dungeon crawler. Its strategic combo system and rewarding progression loop create an incredibly satisfying experience, bolstered by a stellar soundtrack. Although it feels less infinite than its predecessor, its polished mechanics and immense value make it an essential, high-quality experience.

Vampire Crawlers is a wonderful follow-up to a game I hold dear. It translates seamlessly from the bullet-heaven genre into the deck building genre. While there are a few frustrating levels and as of now a lack of endgame content to keep me going, there’s enough here to justify playing this for hours on end and keep you engaged. If you’re a fan of Slay the Spire or Balatro, Vampire Crawlers is absolutely a must grab, even if you have no prior experience with Vampire Survivors.
