Despite nothing in particular wowing in The Mobius Machine, that won't stop you from playing until the very end. All the Metroidvania hallmarks are present and correct, and that means this is one that will be hard to put down.

The Mobius Machine is a fine 2D action-adventure that doesn't go too far wrong, but doesn't take many chances either. The gaming world is vast and there are many challenges out there - and the high level of difficulty and punishing nature of the game may not be for everyone.

I love my metroidvania games and The Mobius Machine is definitely a metroidvania game, however it fell a little short for me. The pieces are there for a decent game but the combination of the slow paced progression, combat, and mapping frustrations actively pulled me away from the game. It’s not often I don’t finish a game but with The Mobius Machine it is just something I will have to try after some time has passed.

The Möbius Machine is a platform adventure game based on exploration and combat. The Madruga Works studio has pulled off an impressive feat! The art direction, story and atmosphere are spellbinding, and the gameplay is both smooth and precise, offering vibrant fights. It's a wonderful surprise, and looks very promising for what's to come. However, despite its many qualities, the title is challenging and should not be played by everyone, at the risk of making you drop the controller. A high-flying challenge to be recommended to enthusiasts of the genre.
