    Boring walking sim. I would never play this awful game again. I would rather play with two strands of my hair that I do not have.

    Mediocre. I can see what they were trying to do, as the game is very “Silent Hill”-esque. But the story drags in places and makes very little sense by the end. You play as Marianne, who has the ability to travel into another dimension. She is given a mysterious message and ends up investigating an abandoned resort.     You play as Marianne, who has the ability to travel into another dimension. She is given a mysterious message and ends up investigating an abandoned resort. Other than being somewhat short, the story doesn't have a lot going for it. Things happen without much explanation and I was never able to connect with any of the characters.

    The game also uses a technology that allows you to see two dimensions at once using a split screen. While I read somewhere that this is groundbreaking technology, it just feels gimmicky and unnecessary. It does show you how silly the protagonist looks talking to the air in the real world. But they easily could have done without it.

    For the most part, the puzzles and levels are pretty bland. There is one level in the Red House toward the end that was done very well, but the rest are very forgettable.

    Slow running is also a real problem for me in video games. I see the reason for it in a horror-type game, but it was still irritating none the less.

    Overall, not a recommendation. Better to play the older Silent Hill or Resident Evil games instead.    … Expand

    I hate buying a brand new console (series X), getting a game claiming to be specifically optimized for it, and then seeing it run at 30fps

    Maybe it just wasn't my type of game but The Medium was a let down for me. The opening and ending were strong in terms of story, but everything in between was a long stretched adventure tied together by collectables and short sequences. The controls were poor and the gameplay mechanics remained very basic. It amzed me hoe slow the character ’runs’, even when in danger. Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством! Раз игровая студия решила вмешаться в политику, то и оценку она получит не за игру!Всегда считал, что игры вне политики! Не ожидал от игровой студии, которая должна ориентироваться на обычных игроков и то, чтобы дарить людям хорошие эмоции…что студия будет наказывать обычных людей за решения принятые правительством! Раз игровая студия решила вмешаться в политику, то и оценку она получит не за игру!

    Just another eastern eu game. No story, no good mechanics, no optimization. I glad I played in gamepass, and didn't have to buy it.

    5 hours long which I like. But I had to motivate myself to play it a lot. Not the most fun game. A LOT of cutscenes. Probably 40 minutes worth making this 4 and a bit hours. Would I play the sequel if there was one? No. Overall 4/10. Not the worst game in the world and thank god it’s short. Had a good idea but it didn’t translate into fun gameplay.    … Expand

OVERHYPED, OVERRATED GAME. Can't pan camera, meaning movement is difficult. I tried 4 times to run from maw after releasing Richard's soul and then I realized it's not my fault that I am failing, ITS THE NOOB DEVELOPERS. NO WONDER THEY CANT MAKE AAA GAMES. When running, Marianne tends to aimlessly run coz of that auto camera panning. The noob device can't seriously expect me to press a button for which I have to line up perfectly with the hole in the wall,then get confused about whether or not I should move the light or open the gate using bolt cutter that I have to equip and press LT and RT 4 times before the chain breaks and then push a button again to open the gets by when she is nit running anymore - all in a very limited amount of time?The mission is so UNBALANCED and BIASED that I didn't even feel like playing anymore.     игра ужасна, сюжет убогий. Играть не интересно, скучно бродить и искать срамные записки, qte - это прошлый век, который уже давно всех бесит. Графон мыло. Не советую, игра отвратительна, заставил себя до пройти ее до конца!!

On reste trop soft - des moments stressants -musique qui colle Points faibles : -gameplay dépassé -personnage lourd et manque de fluidité -des bugs, -technique décevante    Bonjours à tous!!

    Game is very lackin in all its aspects and doesnt have a good playability and its locked at 30fps 900p which is unbelievable.... i guess this is the type of games u gotta accept when u pay 1$ for gamepass

    Its so bored. The mechanics are very rough, the moments where you get scared are few, the only one that really scared me was the one in the bathtub, the others were not intense. It takes a long time to get somewhere because you walk very slowly, you don't run. When you are in both worlds it looks horrible

    Eu detestei o jogo, de longe um dos piores jogos do xbox game studios que Eu Já Vi , Um Jogo de 8° geração de Vídeo Game não consegue manter em 60 fps , a jogabilidade é lamentável a câmera não me agrada é quando abre a tela dos 2 mundos o fps despenca pra 20 fps a imagem vai pra 2K E não tem nenhum momento com ray tracing realmente lamentavel

    Despite clunky animations, repetitive gameplay and some technical issues with the Xbox Series X version, I completed The Medium twice. Its dual-reality design, art direction and brilliant soundtrack often made me stop to take in a view or relish the music. Its mature story and atmosphere reminiscent of Silent Hill helped a lot too.     The exclusive Microsoft - The Medium is yet another significant milestone in the catalogue of psychological horror games from Bloober Team, which is increasingly becoming one of the best studios in this area. Without hiding where it comes from, it's an experience horror fans won't want to miss, no matter how short. The duality approach is interesting and has enormous potential. I hope that the Bloober Team will get to work on it again and develop it more in-depth.
