    The Expanse: A Telltale Series Episode 2: Hunting Grounds throws you straight into the action, continuing from the cliff-hanger of Episode 1. You and your crew are running low on resources and have to escape from the space pirates. You have more exploring to do, relationships to build and more resources to gather. It’s more of the same gameplay for the most part, with the inclusion of a new evade mechanic from drones and some light gun fights. The story has enough depth to keep us wanting to come back as soon as Episode 3 is ready.

    Episode two of The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a remarkable improvement on the opener. The zero-g section is exciting and tests your stealthy skills, while the storytelling is slightly better thanks to the voiceover quality and a worthwhile conversation.

    We had our fair share of concerns after the first episode’s conclusion. Even though the technical blemishes highlighted in our previous test have not been, and probably will not be, fixed, this second episode is reassuring. We gradually get a glimpse of a quality writing, and are pleased to discover that our previous choices now have an impact. We also become increasingly attached to the characters as we learn more about their dark pasts. Let us hope that our current positive impression will be reinforced in the next episode, which we cannot wait to put our hands on.
