    I'm sorry I can't get past the fact that after closed beta they knew the game was a technical failure but still released it. With performance analysis reports finally trickling out it's almost unfathomable that the game is this poorly optimized. FSR 1.0 on current gen consoles, 4k equals less than 30fps, 60fps equals 800x600 resolution and again this is an Xbox Series X "optimized" gameI'm sorry I can't get past the fact that after closed beta they knew the game was a technical failure but still released it.     So far very great game. Spiders’ games are always made with heart and love and you can see that. The art direction is truly amazing and the combat is pretty good honestly. Do you want them to make more games? Give it a try and buy it. It's also at a great price point, worth every penny.

    The combat is solid, souls-like. The art direction is fantastic. The upgrades (weapons and stat points) are what you'd expect from this gametype, and seem solid. There are metroidvania elements that are also fun (unlocking various tools and abilities that further open the map up). For a $50 game, I'm enjoying this immensely.

    Thanks Spiders for this beautiful game! Everything was so good: visually stunning, stellar art design and levels, evocative music, magnificent gameplay and great historical settings of French Revolution. Please give us Steelrising 2 in next years!

    Aggressive and challenging combat; Interesting gameplay tweaks lend its combat some nuance; Impressive weapon variety; Engaging progression and exploration; Varied and inventive enemy designs; A fascinating setting brought to life in impressive fashion; Looks really good.
    Bad- The actual story isn't that interesting; Movement can feel a little clunky at times; Some technical    Good-

    Thoughts-
    Steelrising is yet another solid effort by Spiders. The French studio has been growing in stature and building a steady reputation with its efforts, and its fair to say that with its latest release, the developer has kept that upward trajectory going. A solid Soulslike that executes upon the core tenets of its genre in impressive fashion, Steelrising is also a game that impresses and engrosses with its unique, bizarre world. In a year where almost every anticipated game is a sequel or remake, Spiders has delivered a brand new IP the only way possible - flawlessly.     I didn't like playing most of the other Souls games because they were too difficult and discouraging. Sekiro, I left it just after a couple of hours dying and dying again. Same thing Dark Souls series. The only Souls games I enjoyed are Elden Ring and this one, Steelrising. Elden Ring is my favourite one, but also Steelrising is a very good game, it's lot of fun, well-finished, brilliant.I didn't like playing most of the other Souls games because they were too difficult and discouraging.     I am wondering what is behind the official critics' reviews. It is as if they were not able to believe that a soulslike game can be produced by a different studio than from software. It is actually a pretty good game. You need to get used to a specific moveset of the main character - just like it is the case with other soulslike games. As such - this is not a game for everybody.     It looks great on Xbox series X, thanks to the greater resolution and the lack of tearing. The game itself comes with excellent graphics and nice artistic direction, but its strength lies in its gameplay: Aegis faces hundreds of different enemies, using many different weapons, and there are plenty of puzzles to be solved in each level.     Best dark souls clone outside from software I’ve played to date. My only knock is that the environments and enemies aren’t varied enough, but a surprisingly amount of verticality keeps levels interesting. Combat has a great feel to it. Give these guys some AAA money.

    Don't normally review, but just had to say that being a massive fromsoft fan, this game is definitely worth your time, I am really surprised how good this actually is. Probably a 9 upto now but giving it a 10 to counter the critics reviews don't know why they have been scoring this as bad as they have.

    Ultimately, Steelrising often makes you think of how it is similar to other soulslike games in certain respects, but it still feels like its own creature. The combat is enjoyable and considering how some of the puzzles can be, that might not be a bad thing. However, since skills have such big leverage in the game, it feels like something substantial was accomplished.     Excellent graphics and fun gameplay. I find the weapon variety to be very good with many different types of combat weapon and move sets.

    I think people giving it low scores, and saying the game is bad, actually never played it. This game is beautiful, fun, well implemented in every aspect, excellent gameplay and levels, it tells beautiful story about revolutionary France with mention of important men such as Lavoisier, Bailey, Vaucanson, La Fayette and many others. Don't trust low score reviews. This game is awesome!

    Solid game and a ton of fun. The story is delivered well (a skill I find lacking in most games). The combat is easily scalable to find your playstyle. Large variety of weapons and combat styles. This is the "souls" experience that makes me happy. The only detractors I can think to give this, it has a slightly muddy appearance from the color palate , I would have liked a map of theSolid game and a ton of fun.     Please be careful before you buy. The user scores are suspiciously high (9.4 at the time of writing). But at steam, the user reviews is at 74% (at the time of writing). i did a quick search and i found most high reviews coming from user accounts who have not previously reviewed any game before. That can't be right. Check it yourself. This is highly likely review bombing.

    Really beautiful and fun Soulslike game. I've played a few others, and the story and visuals are better than any Soulslike I've seen so far. The gameplay is also more accessible but still plenty challenging. The "difficulty settings" are really welcome for me, I understand people play games like these for being challenging, but I like playing more casual after a long day of work, so thisReally beautiful and fun Soulslike game.     Steelrising is a Souls-like game based on automatons which tries its best not to be a clone drone. The historical setting, outfits and graphics are very immersive and interesting. The combat is challenging and given enough time quite easy to master. The bosses could have done with being a bit harder and the platforming elements need more work. But it’s still a very sizeable game with plenty to enjoy. I do wish they had some stronger background music to help with the historical immersion.

    Steelrising's main attraction is its fascinating and gorgeous world. Paris is run down, broken and burning, and on this backdrop we get to play a a fun and violent dance with steampunk robots.
