    RiMS racing by Nacon is their newest racing simulation game and Nacon states “This game is a completely new approach to the motorcycle simulation game experience. In our game, you can use the top-of-the-line bikes from the biggest manufacturers in your quest to harness their power. Our game provides an extremely accurate riding experience and precise control of the bike.”. With that beingRiMS racing by Nacon is their newest racing simulation game and Nacon states “This game is a completely new approach to the motorcycle simulation game experience. Our game provides an extremely accurate riding experience and precise control of the bike.”. With that being said thats is a very true statement because in Rims Racing, skills in racing are not the only thing players need to survive to become the best racer. Customizing and maintaining your motorbike is important as players will get a chance to see how to properly customize, change, and repair both the interior and exterior parts. There are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to customizing but before all of that, the game will allow you to choose which bike to begin with. The bikes that are included in the game are 8 of the fastest bikes developed and produced by top racing bike companies like Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, and Ducati. The 8 bikes that are playable are the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10 RR, Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory, BMW M 1000 RR, Ducati Panigale V4 R, Honda CBR1000RR ABS, MV Agusta F4 RC, Suzuki GSX-R1000R, and the Yamaha YZF-R1. The motorbikes have been reproduced with peerless detail and realism, and you will have to maintain and upgrade them through the innovative gameplay. The race tracks are very challenging and unique in this racing game. There are some of the biggest names in road racing, and players will enjoy not only in terms of racing – the Great Victoria Desert, Passo San Marco, and the Atlantic Ocean Road are just three of the five that are fully playable in RiMS Racing. The Career mode of the game is educational, from learning how to drive the motorbikes, all the way to customizing and maintaining the bike’s parts. When you complete missions and clear bonus requirements, you’ll gain credits that are used to unlock new research materials to either improve your bike’s performance or invent new parts that help you perform in future events. The multiplayer of the game can either be done locally through split-screen or done online. Not only that, there are online challenges in the game that can be completed as well. Expect a strong presence of skill from online players. Overall, the game is great and has a lot of potential as a racing simulator. Not only that, the racing mechanics of the game are well balanced and suited for not only experienced players but also for newbies who will just start playing these types of games. With all that being said I highly state this game is a pure simulator so if you’re not necessarily a fan of simulation games, there’s nothing here to change your mind. IF you are a fan I highly suggest RIMS Racing for your Xbox game library. You can enjoy the experience on your Xbox One and Xbox Series. Head on over to the Xbox store and make sure to pick up the double pack if you are into the genre of simulation racing so you can unlock achievements on both platforms. The series X has the expected notable performance and graphic enhancements you’d expect but both versions are enjoyable in the same manner. I like the fact of more achievements are available for the Xbox One and Series X versions however I wish Xbox would limit this to exclusives. Separation of the Xbox One and Series S | X achievement lists only muddies the water for players who upgrade later to only have backward compatibility on the new consoles and needing to buy the new version if they want to take full advantage of their console. I only mention this as Nacon has had this trend in their game releases as of late. This is only my opinion on the current Xbox platforms and in no way effects the quality of their games.… Expand

    RiMS Racing is a very good game that has so much potential to become great. It has a good career mode and it's gameplay is very fun. It's a very solid entry to bike racing games

    As a motorbike enthusiast who loves gaming, we get a few regulars like Ride, Moto GP and the more recent TT games which come along and all do things slightly differently. RiMS is what I’ve been waiting for since Tourist Trophy on the PS2 - something which takes the realism to the next level, the Gran Turismo (or Forza!) of the bike world! I’ve put in a good 10 - 15 hours now and I’mAs a motorbike enthusiast who loves gaming, we get a few regulars like Ride, Moto GP and the more recent TT games which come along and all do things slightly differently. RiMS is what I’ve been waiting for since Tourist Trophy on the PS2 - something which takes the realism to the next level, the Gran Turismo (or Forza!) of the bike world! I’ve put in a good 10 - 15 hours now and I’m progressing well into the career mode. So many things about the level of realism strike me which combined with the presentation and music form a very slick package. I love how you can completely strip your bike and build it back up with custom parts. There are so many options here to really spec what you want. I’ve ridden bikes over half of my life now but have never dabbled with the mechanics. However, the way the game intuitively let’s you experiment with tuning and then seeing each part come off and go back on again has inspired me to get stuck in!

    The career mode is lengthy and varied, really helping you bond with your chosen bike and learn to ride well, not just fast, otherwise your repair bills will rack up! Ive also enjoyed the other modes on offer. Practise is like a time trial mode on all of the tracks and reverse modes, allowing you to change the weather snd road surface in each. Then there are online challenges too which have proved very fun to compete against others times for a reward.

    The soundtrack is phenomenal. I think, without realising it, this is something I really miss in other bike games. From the early 00’s inspired intro kicking right off when you boot the game up to the electro charged beats pushing you faster and faster during your races, it’s intense! RiMS is also the first bike game EVER to nail the exhaust sound. Not just stock either, it changes with each one you swap out, I love it.

    I can see myself spending hours on RiMS because not only does it do the simulation aspects well, but it’s actually really fun to play! I often find the more sim aspects there are in a game, the more rigid and stale it is, not the case here! On the realistic setting you can feel when you’re pushing the tyres too far through the vibration in the controller before you see any impacts on screen, it helps you feel in tune.

    I’ve followed this game since it was announced a year ago and have really enjoyed how open and honest the dev team has been along the way. I was cautiously optimistic on launch day but I can confidently say I am blown away with how good the game is. Considering this is Raceward’s first outing and they’re a small team, it’s incredible what they’ve achieved and I think we’re so lucky as both gamers and motorbike fans to have this to enjoy.

    More bike mechanic than bike racer, RIMS Racing is going to appeal to a very niche player base. If you're looking for a reason to grab the leathers and show the world your finest bike handling skills, there are better options out there. But if all you're bothered about is fettling your parts and learning more about what makes those bikes tick, RIMS will gladly open up the complex avenues you need. Just don't expect it to provide much in the way of fun.

    We weren't expecting it, and maybe it's a big spark that lights up in the world of motorcycle simulations. Developed by the Italian studio of RaceWard and published by Nacon, RiMS Racing overshadows Ride with its simulated aspect reserved for purists, even if it tramples on content and technique.

    RiMS Racing is quite an enjoyable and addictive racer, adding unique gameplay elements when it comes to checking real-time bike information with MSC or choosing from hundreds of aftermarkets parts that you’ll need to actually mount and install onto your cycle. While a simulator at its core, many hardcore racing fans will find enough content here to keep them entertained for quite some time yet is just accessible enough for casual players to jump in and work towards completing the lengthy career. RiMS Racing strikes a great balance of quality and uniqueness, and I’m excited to see what they’ve got in store for a hopeful sequel in the future.
