    This game is a masterpiece, the story is interesting with big twist, amazing mix of combat and horror, re4 vibes, great graphics and sound design, replayability. If you like RE get it dont think twice.

    Curti muito o 7, considero um dos melhores da franquia, mas esse é demais, consegue pegar tudo que o 7 implementou e melhorar, ainda mesclando com o RE1, RE4 e RE5 perfeitamente. Um jogaço que tem um capítulo que proporciona uma das melhores experiências recentes que tive com os jogos.     This is a really great entry in the long running RE series. It’s got nice locations to explore, fun enemies and bosses to fight and the gunplay is top notch. Highly recommended this for horror game enthusiasts

    Man, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it. This game probably has the most gorgeous, stunning graphics and art direction that I have ever seen. My god it is so majestically beautiful! Exploring in this game is such a treat (but it can be scary xD). The gameplay and story were engaging and thrilling. There was also a lot of variety in the game. It's one of the bestMan, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it. This game probably has the most gorgeous, stunning graphics and art direction that I have ever seen. My god it is so majestically beautiful!     This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series. The plot - is strong and interesting. The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror). Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required    This is the best part in the series, over the past 10-15 years, very atmospheric and with a more or less sane plot.

    The gameplay - is standard as in other parts of the series.
    The plot - is strong and interesting.
    The atmosphere - is very coolly balanced, there is both horror and action (there is more horror).
    Difficulty - playing hardcore, you will get EVERYTHING that is required from a resident evile (at lower difficulties you will lose the whole essence of the game).
    Puzzles - there are a LOT of them and very diverse and very interesting.
    Back tracking - is probably the biggest of all the previous parts.
    Enemies - there are many of them, each with its own characteristics (both externally and gameplay).
    Bosses and mini-bosses - there are many of them, all varied and interesting, with several phases.    … Expand

    10 doesn't mean perfect but it means it far exceeded my expectations. It's running very smooth. I am really getting into this resident evil. It's a little more accessible while still remaining resident evil

    Magnificent!!! Hands down one of the best Resident Evil games in years! it's got everything from the survival horror genre, mixed well with action & adventure elements. Fun bosses, awesome story with a mind-blowing twist and it's decently long for a RE game. Oh and it looks incredible! This is a 10/10 MUST BUY game, it's just a great experience and value! Well done to the developers. :)

    I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game. It has Resident Evil 7 camera and Resident Evil 4 elements like inventory/merchant. It even has some RE2 Remake elements, that i'm not gonna spoil. Way more normal enemies than in RE7 (that's a +), more bosses (also a +), bosses actually look interesting, some of them reminded me The Evil Within bosses (that's a +).I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game.     Resident Evil Village has almost everything the franchise is famous for: Horror, action, survival, atmosphere, weapons, monsters, puzzles, music, great sound design, inventory management, exploring, badass villains, a silly and over the top storyline and of course explosions.
    While in the first half of the game the horror part plays the biggest role, the second part of the game becomes    Resident Evil Village has almost everything the franchise is famous for: Horror, action, survival, atmosphere, weapons, monsters, puzzles, music, great sound design, inventory management, exploring, badass villains, a silly and over the top storyline and of course explosions.
    While in the first half of the game the horror part plays the biggest role, the second part of the game becomes more action packed. I personally have no issues with that at all. Resident Evil was always known for it's more action driven second half or at least last third.
    The strongest assets of this game are definitely the fantastic atmosphere (made possible by graphics and sound), the monster design and enemy variety as well as the locations themselves. Absolutely great and immersive, especially the castle and factory. I also highly appreciate the fact, that the heavily scripted gameplay sequences from RE7 are gone here, the scripted jack baker fights annoyed me very much.
    The boss fights in RE Village vary heavily. Some are great while others disappoint, but at least we have many.
    My biggest issue, not only with this game but with many other RE games: Capcom just doesn't seem to have a feel for difficulty. The "standard" difficulty is way too easy for 90% of casual players out there, the next difficulty level (hardcore) starts off very, very hard (i think everyone knows at which part i am hinting at) but gets easier after that part. Hardcore feels like the real normal difficulty. It makes the game feel more challenging and engaging. The "casual" difficulty is a joke, sorry. Every 4 year old could play through that one.
    I'm a bit torn about the puzzles. Yes, there a some small creative brain teasers here and there but most puzzles are ridiculously easy. Capcom really could have made some of them a bit more challenging and interesting.
    Inventory management, although there to some extent, plays almost no role in this game. There were only one or two occasions where i was running out of space and couldn't carry a new weapon, so i rearranged my inventory quickly and voila, no problem anymore. You don't even need to buy the last and biggest inventory expansion from the duke, the game just doesn't challenge you enough to do so.
    All in all i really enjoyed the ride RE VIllage put me through and i can recommend it to anyone who is at least somewhat interested in high quality video games (hot only horror games) with a love to detail. The production value is very high and it definitely shows. Buy it, but be aware of the horror that awaits!    … Expand

    Great game! If you enjoyed RE Bio then you should love this game. Keeps everything that worked so well and adds in everything you might have thought was missing. Hardcore mode just adds to that as you have to outwit and be precise with your decision making. Should be up for GOTY!

But to be completely fair, if you don't like Resident Evil 4, i don't like you anyway. Would recommend Village to anyone (even people who are new to RE series) who wants to have fun, lots of boss battles, great graphics and weapon upgrades. People who say it doesn't have horror at all are simply lying. Or maybe their definition of horror is just hiding in the corner. That's something i call pathetic, not horror, but to each their own. I would also recommend playing Resident Evil 4 after RE Village, it's truly absolute masterpiece and best game in whole RE series.… Expand

    Simply the best game i’ve played since Resi 4, Village is AWESOME! 1 billion times better and bigger than 7. Sitting at the edge of the seat all the time i’m in there. Everything about it is perfect. Good performance with raytracing on, graphics blew me away instantly! Happy with purchase! This game deserves 100 out of 10!!!

    Capcom has done it again! Another excellent Resident Evil game that sets the standard for the horror game genre. Great graphics, story, and a soundtrack that fits the atmosphere perfectly. If your a fan of horror games, then you simply can not miss the newest installment in this iconic game series. Great job Capcom!

    Enjoyable in a mad, pantomime sort of way, Resident Evil Village feels like a pretty significant step back from Resident Evil VII, and a toe back into the absurd. It's a game you're unlikely to forget in a hurry, for entirely the wrong reasons.

    After play with dualsense, immersion and sensation are really missing here.
    No atmos, loadings a bit long, not better fluidity, both version are very smooth.
    Nobody says that on disc there is not the game, just a 187mb file to unlock download, scandalous.

    This game is the usual round of Resident Evil absurdity - and it's great. Convoluted plots, ridiculous larger than life characters, evil corporations (that still think genetically engineering dangerous unstable bioweapons is much more effective than, say, just shooting people)- what's not to love. It's just silly fun with some genuinely unsettling set pieces (the dolls house for example.)

    I haven’t felt so compelled by atmosphere since first Dracula game on pc. Amazing setting and game design. Gameplay and pacing as well spot on!! Buy it! It is just so worth it

    Resident evil village is a mix of the old and a mix of the new.. This is a first person survival horror game with more of an emphasis on weapons than purely sneaking and sriviving.. which works in this setting, but I would’ve liked this to be more gradual.
    Here once again like in resident evil 7 you play as ethan winters, searching for his daughter rose after their home is ambushed and the both of you are kidnapped, you find yourself in a village full of vampire meets werewolf character, and its so refreshing to not deal with lame zombies or mold creatures.. these enemies are terrifying when you first run into them… but I woulve loved a gradual lead up to actually getting some weapons in hand muck like in resident evil 7.. sneaking around this village, sneaking through the castle trying not to get caught as you got the items you needed, until finally you get a weapon, blast your way out of the castle and destroy the enemies in the village.. instead I almosti mmediatly felt untouchable.. which really killed the scary aspect of village for me.. there were definitely erie moments here for me.. but I never felt terrified the way I did in past resident evil games.. but as a more action almost first person devil may cry feeling game… village is great.. and I absolutely love the attention to detail and variety here… resident evil village is constantly switching up the areas as you set out to take down multiple targets in a vastly different setting from eachother.. theres so much to collect, find and upgrade like the older resident evil games, with the map color indicator letting you know when you’ve grabbed everything, and these a shop that just pops up along your journey to upgrade your weapons, buy ammo, or sell these crystals you pick up off of enemies, really giving you incentive to be aggressive here.. trying to afford all of the upgrades you can for your weapons..
    Resident evil village does get a little lame and obring in its final stretch. .but they all do.. but not nearly as bad as 7 biohazard… if youre ready for resident evil to get back to the way it used to but don’t want to let go the creepiness first person adds to the series.. resident evil village is a perfect mix.. I do again just wish they tried to scare me a little bit more… much like in the maiden demo… more of that mixed into resident evil village, and this couldve reached masterpiece level..

Não tive problemas com bugs ou qualquer tipo de defeito que atrapalhasse a minha experiência, mais um a vez a Capcom fez um excelente trabalho.

    El Resident Evil con más personalidad hasta la fecha. Entretenido de principio a fin con un balance entre terror y acción muy correcto. Gráficamente el primer juego que hace sentir la next-gen de otra manera. Muy rejugable, vuelve el modo Mercenarios!!!

    The story isn't great, the graphics are alright, I had a couple of performance issues (PS5) but overall I enjoyed it a lot. At its best it is tense and over the top, at its worst, it is cumbersome and schlocky.

    Great title, with all the elements of a RE. Excellent atmosphere and graphic effects. Totally recommended. Greetings! You have no idea what a work of art is !! this game deserves more than that mediocre grade. Capcom has been doing things well since RE 7. so I give it a 10 as it deserves. Play it and you will see that there is tension and terror.

    O jogo está incrivelmente bem desenvolvido. Os Gráficos estão absurdos de tão lindos e com texturas bem detalhadas, chegando perto de uma imagem real. A gameplay continua ótima com melhoramentos em relação ao 7.

    Capcom you are incredible, this game has become a real discovery. Delight did not leave throughout the passage. The way they worked on the village is worthy of applause. A true child's delight, involvement in the gameplay, a real gift for everyone who appreciates single-player story games. Respect, it was very cool !

Of Series X I played with raytracing on and the graphics are amazing. Downsides, the puzzles are not difficult and worse of all the game does not have the terror and tension that 7 had. Biohazard felt claustrophobic, the walls closing in on you. Village has manyA great sequel to Biohazard.     If you played RE7 and liked it you're gonna love this game. I played it for 10 hours and I got to say that this game has much more variations than the last game. The only negative is that it is not as scary as RE7 but it still has it really scary moments some parts of the game. Graphic=9/10

    Resident Evil Village is a fantastic addition to Ethan Winters series. Taking elements of past Resident Evil's and combining them with the First Person genre, super effective with its non-stop action and terrifying scares.
    A change of pace from the last game, with more emphasis on combat than before. Strangely enough, there is a tone of exploration to be had as well as heaps of    Resident Evil Village is a fantastic addition to Ethan Winters series. So close to being perfect but there are some issues with the game seeming to be cut down in some areas and Lady Dimitrescu being used far too early.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. RE Village is a splendid, well-designed, spooky and an amazing game. It holds its true values as a sequel to the RE 7. I'd say village is relatively less scarier in comparison to the previous one, but has a more enjoyable gameplay with a great combat and weapon system. I just haven't been a fan when soliders make their way through resident evil games, i just don't enjoy it as much as late hours of the game have some shooter-based mechanics rather than a horror game. Only part i didn't like. But great game and great work Capcom!… Expand

    A good horror survival game but personally it was not really horror( for me) I remember resident evil 1 when I was 8 years old it gave me little scares, Village is really fun, fps games This is what I prefer and the story is beautiful the end leaves us with mysteries Resident evil village is my G.O.T.Y

    Game can feel surprisingly open although which it comes to in the end is you running back and forth in the same location a few times to either get keys or tools to open other areas. Depending of you go back to certain area these mini bosses can number in the area of in the ballpark area of 7 or 8. I could be off on that because I can't remember all of them at this time.

    The game first opens up with another walk in to the woods just let the first game. What is much nicer about this game though it you get a bit more of the horror aspect as you start your first encounter. Sometimes the is a lul to the horror and action which are welcome. But at times there are some amazing horror moments thanks to situations like the second boss. Which I found to be the perfect amount of twist to bring into a game like this. SO thank you for that small switch up so I don't have to keep fighting all the time.

    It is truly a step in the right direction for Capcom in regards to the RE7 along with using new technologies to makes the game look even more fantastic then the last installment. I can't wait to see what they do with the next game.    … Expand

    The game is beautiful, I've been playing on my Xbox series x to see the difference between it in the Xbox one and it is. The game is very fast and the lighting is perfectly balanced as you take in the view of the castle and of course the creepy forest. Still a horror game, but a really good one.

    Capcom is finally going back to their Resident Evil 4 roots aka best era of Resident Evil. Can't praise them enough, so i'm just gonna say thank you! This really means a lot to me, because Resident Evil 4 is my all time favorite game and to be able to experience something similar again, is just amazing. Thank you Capcom!

    Desde mi punto de vista como un fan más de la saga résident evil, este juego me parece un regalo por parte de Capcom, nos brinda una narrativa que se ve que está trabajada, nos dan un escenario que se nota vivo, nos da un mapa más grande y explorable... Si que es verdad que tiene al final un poco de acción pero se combina perfectamente. En general me parece un gran juego.

    Resident evil village turns out to be a great entry for the RE universe, however the game can be bogged down by its lack of true horror, what seem to be empty marketing promises, or a rough starting point for some. Overall I found myself to enjoy the twist and turns along the way especially the ending. Would recommend to fans and determined newcomers to the series.

    Absolutely gorgeous on Series X and surprisingly good looking on xbox one. I really enjoyed this game as a fan of biohazard and the remakes of 2 and 3. I do wish there were more puzzles and a little more tension but the combat while a little much was a lot of fun. The story was engaging.     I just recently got every achievement as well as completed every challenge within the game. I can say without a doubt this is so far the best game of the year. A great sequel to Resident Evil 7 and a great spiritual successor to Resident Evil 4, if you liked either of those games you are going to love this.

    Village was short but still great. Maybe it wasn't scary as biohazard but still worth to play. Main character was great. Graphic was wonderful and the feelin of the gameplay is briliant. For me it's horror masterpiece.

    The game is great, but playing with a controller is not. The action part becomes more and more intense with the progress and the sniper rifle is next to useless with a controller.
    They really must add a way to continue playing on a PC, using "play anywhere" or else.

Village es un caso de "mala fama" injustificado (a mí parecer); al respecto, la prensa especializada y la comunidad de jugadores han contribuido en mayor medida con esto. Me gustaría dejarMi sensación luego de terminar Resident Evil Village fue de felicidad. Me sentí contento por haber jugado esta nueva entrega; y feliz, del tratamiento que se había hecho de la historia de Ethan Winters. Village es un caso de "mala fama" injustificado (a mí parecer); al respecto, la prensa especializada y la comunidad de jugadores han contribuido en mayor medida con esto. Me gustaría dejar algunas cosas en claro:
    1) Resident Evil Village es uno de los juegos más largos de la saga: esto, debido a lo extenso de su mapa, posibilidades de backtracking, y tiempo que demora terminarlo dependiendo de las veces que mueras y la dificultad (10 horas en nivel normal, las cuáles se extienden en mayores dificultades ya que mueres más seguido). RE nunca ha sido de juegos de más de 8 o 10 horas; pero me gustaría dejar en claro que es un juego con contenido extenso; casi al nivel del visto en el remake de RE2 o en RE6.
    2) Resident Evil Village es el juego más terrorífico de la saga: esto es posiblemente discutible, pues la sensación que me dió Resident Evil con sus pantallas prerenderizadas en los años 90's no es comparable al terror que me puede generar ahora que tengo 27 años. Sin embargo, nunca había sentido tanto miedo jugando a un juego de esta saga. Da más miedo que RE 7 o R2; es más inmersivo, sobre todo si juegas con Audífonos (y con Dolby Atmos activado). Quienes afirman que es un juego "más orientado a la acción" y que no da tanto miedo, me da la sensación que jugaron otro juego o simplemente no jugaron a este. Al respecto dos palabras (para no entrar en spoilers): Donna Beneviento (vayan preparados). El único nivel comparable a la acción de RE4 es el nivel de Moreau, algunos pasajes por la Aldea, o el fuerte lleno de Lycans. Pero la mansión Dimitrescu es un claro homenaje a la comisaria de RE2, la casa de Beneviento a PT y Silent Hills, y la fábrica de Heinsenberg a Soma y Observer. Fanáticos del género de terror, entenderán lo que digo.
    3) Resident Evil Village tiene un excelente avance narrativo para trama de Ethan. Mucho se dijo, en RE7, sobre la personalidad y carisma de Ethan Winters: un personaje plano, tonto, y que estaba construido de tal forma para funcionar a modo de avatar propio de nosotros y generar inmersión. Pero en Village además de sentir el terror de Ethan en carne propia, vemos la personalidad y la pasión de este personaje. En muchos aspectos, recuerda a Joel de TLOU protegiendo a Ellie, porque Village es una historia íntima: es la historia de un padre, salvando a su hija.
    De momento, uno de mis candidatos a GOTY 2021. Capcom se luce, y como fan de antaño de la saga, me tiene ansioso esperando el próximo capítulo de este nuevo arco, que esperemos, concluya la historia de la familia Winters.    … Expand

    The next chapter with the disappearing puppet and the baby monster was too scary and I had to stop the game completely.

OK, I was never a fan of horrors and RE series, this is my first game in the series. I was seduced by an interesting setting in eastern Europe and some friend's recommendations. Do I regret? Not at all.
    The game is not very difficult, I've died a couple of times but it is constantly building an atmosphere of danger and it's doing it in a great way. The setting is great and the world is very very filled with details. Visiting the castle is like real museum journey, not counting the monsters. I was impressed by the atmosphere and artistic touch.

    The game has its horror moments and more action focused parts on the other hand. Gameplay is filled with hidden treasures, locked rooms, puzzles etc.
    I was able to beat it for the first time on standard difficulty level, which took me 20 hours (in-game counter is simply lying about 13 hours).
    This is one of the title with high replayability becouse you are seriously getting rewarded for in-game achievments (like unlimitted ammo etc).
    Storyline is great and a beat weaker at the endgame.
    Just to add that game is working in 45 FPS with RT turned on (is off by default) and it runs much smoother than other titles in 30 FPS. I did not found a single bug.

    Mon verdict: je préfère le 7 pour sa famille de fou que représentait les Bakers mais le 8 est vraiment pas mal. Un jeu bien meilleur que le 5 et 6 par exemple que j’avais vraiment pas aimé (et meilleur que le 3 également).

    Les points forts:

    graphiquement très propre (mais loin d’être parfait)
    la spatialisation sonore au top (du moins avec Dolby Atmos, j’ai pas testé sans)
    une bonne ambiance et certains méchants bien charismatiques (d’autres beaucoup moins)
    l’inventaire retravaillé et plus ergonomique finalement
    en VR il va être génial
    aucun chargement durant le jeu si ce n’est bizarrement lors de la transition avec scène cinématique à la fin du jeu (3-4 secondes)
    un scénario qui s’ouvre à la toute fin (et fait donc mieux finalement que RE7)
    des doublages français réussis
    beaucoup de trucs à débloquer en new game + pour ceux qui veulent le platiner

    Les moins:

    toujours les mêmes armes et mécaniques de jeu
    finalement très court
    le village qui sert de Hub central est sous exploité
    pas encore en VR alors qu’on voit qu’il est fait pour ce mode
    le Ray Tracing pas indispensable et sous exploité
    quelques scènes avec Ethan qui sont trop WTF (mais je vais pas spoiler)

    Having not really enjoyed Resident Evil 7 (and stopped playing it long before the end) i did enjoy the look of Village and thought after much reviews to give it a go and so glad i did its so different to Resident Evil 7 yet the story is all closely connected (i watched videos to get the whole 7 story) Playing this felt like watching and being in a good movie too and so very atmospheric.Having not really enjoyed Resident Evil 7 (and stopped playing it long before the end) i did enjoy the look of Village and thought after much reviews to give it a go and so glad i did its so different to Resident Evil 7 yet the story is all closely connected (i watched videos to get the whole 7 story) Playing this felt like watching and being in a good movie too and so very atmospheric. I had a blast going throug multiple playthroughs, all the dificulties, The Mercenaries, atemting a speedrun, completing challenges or browsing through the ingame model/figure viewer. Learning the layout of the game, finding new ways to fight or preferabely avoid enemies,, trying new tactics... I particulaly enjoyed alll weapon models and animations, especialy pistols. Combat is improved and build upon from previous title. The only things that could and should be better are puzzles. They are super simple and does not offer any challege, so no satisfaction upon their completion. They could have been similar to Doom Eternal's platforming sections, offering a time to breathe and take a break from all that slaughter and managing resources, instead they are dumb at best and annoying at worst. But overall, solid, great experience. This title should not be missing from your library.… Expand

    Honestly the best game I’ve played in a long time. Number 7 was good too, but I believe number 8 village is the best one yet! I can’t wait for what they got in store next! I’ve played this 3 times already and I’m the type that really only play these type of games once. I’ll be going on my fourth run just to get the trophies that I haven’t achieved yet, but still in love with this game.Honestly the best game I’ve played in a long time.     I absolutely love the story line. How it all fits together. The boss fights are insane! The map is honestly my favorite of how big and open it is!     Resident Evil Village is an incredible piece of work, capable of keeping us glued to the screen for the entire story. Although there are some flaws that make it closer to an excellent game rather than a masterpiece, we recommend everyone to play it as it's a good product in almost all aspects, which could also make you approach the saga for the first time.
