    It is a clear evolution respecting the first installment. It feels new and dynamic, it makes you want to keep playing and exploring. It's beautiful and a lot of fun. I doubt I exceeded a third.

    I have zero clue why people are reviewbombing this game, and I truly don’t see any reason to do so. This game is whimsical, absolutely hilarious, beautifully stylized and just such a joy to play.

    It's Just the best game of the year until nós for me. Along side "It takes two" and "Ratchet and Clank", it's a really good exemplar of modern plataformers done right. It has a few rough edges, but it's simple not enough to takes a way the Fun and the masterclass of good level design.

    As someone who doesn't like 3D platform games, I was amazed be how much the original won me over back in the day. Fast forward to present day and lightning has struck twice. This game is just as funny, well written, and a trip to play as the original. Another feather in the hat from the company that gave us Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. Well done Double Fine.

Very unique game. For anyone who bases their actually purchases (which you prob don't need to purchase because you can try P2 on gamepass) off user scores on metacritic, you shouldn't.     This game is unique in its own way. Never before was I hooked so much to a platformer. Unique Art-styles and visuals add to the game's fun and charismatic feel. Combat is polished as well.
    It's a well rounded experience. Worth a try!!!

    Not my type of game but it's available on Game Pass and I figured let's give it a shot. Right from the start you can tell this is an absolutely fun game. My 3yo loves watching along while exploring this vibrant world and characters. Not sure about this GOTY year talk but the review bombing is absolutely pathetic.

    I was someone that got into this series once the first get hit gamepass and the first game was really impressive considering how old it is. This game takes it to a whole new level! It is such a fun experience, amazing art style and gameplay. The real star of the show for me was the voice acting and the writing. It has deep themes, but light humor.     I played 120fps and its stunning on OLED, for some reason playstation executives also liked the game and expressed on social media. Games do not have barriers and this game is a proof, GOTY contender for 2021.

    I Rate it 8.7.The creativity is refreshing and keepet me motivated throughout. Some of the mechanics and story transitions are a little unpolished in areas. No major issues, but occasionally I was pulled away from the magic the game casts wondering "why did that just happen?". I love what was created and I think this game will inspire more creativity in future games.

It has an extremely unique level design and really takes advantage of the 'going into other's minds' concept that worked so well in the first game. The combat has been smoothed out and is actually challenging compared to the original where you can't just melee stun the enemies in one chain. It forces you to be diverse with your arsenal and use all of your powers, something the first game didn't try as much. This, along with all the new enemies, infinitely improves the combat. Along with that, there is just so much to do and explore. You have all these collectibles, a fun upgrade system, and an interesting story. The art style is amazing and Psychonauts 2 is an improvement of every single core concept from the first game that made it so good in the first place. It is breathtaking and relieving to get a sequel that is just... Better, in every single way, compared to the original which was already amazing. I have no idea what the other reviews are talking about and why they are review-bombing it for no reason. This doesn't feel like an old game at all and I think many of the reviews are people so extremely upset the game wasn't localized to every single language in the world that they give it a 0/10. Ignore those reviews, this game is an absolutely wonderous masterpiece and is one of the best games I've played. By far it is the Game of the Year for me. Period.… Expand

    Taking into consideration the first couple of hours of gameplay, where I’ve savoured every moment, this has got to be my favourite game of 2021.

    Very familiar for those who played the original, but more slick and less rage inducing. A joy to play! It has the humour of classic Lucasarts games like Secret of Monkey Island with the gameplay of Zool (another classic) in 3D unreal engine.    Taking into consideration the first couple of hours of gameplay, where I’ve savoured every moment, this has got to be my favourite game of 2021.

    It has the humour of classic Lucasarts games like Secret of Monkey Island with the gameplay of Zool (another classic) in 3D unreal engine.     Anyway, the game itself... quite simply it's very enjoyable, and a light-hearted take on dealing with some serious issues like mental health problems.

    The graphics are simply fine technically speaking, running flawlessly at native 4K@60Hz on my Series X, and a silky smooth 1440p@120Hz. Though, I can understand that some people may not be all that keen on the colourful "Tim Burton-esque" like cartoony graphical art style.

    Best thing though... it didn't cost me a penny outside of my Gamepass subscription... Bargain! :)    … Expand

    Gran juego con un arte y estilo peculiar, Tim Schafer vuelve a lo grande con esta gran aventura llena de retos, humor negro y diversión a raudales. Estamos ante uno de los grandes tapados del año y que no hace más que darle la razón a Microsoft con el acierto de comprar Double Fine.

    Una auténtica joya y obra de arte, lo mejor sin duda es ver a los ardidos que después de este juego no podrán tocar nunca nada más de double fine por su sectarismo.
    En cuanto al juego una maravilla, sus personajes su estilo artístico el hacerte sentir que juegas en épocas pasadas pero llevado al exquisito más extremo, una maravilla que nadie debería perderse

And a 0 just because? A 0 is an unplayable game, with so many bugs you can't even advance, not a game you don't like just because xbox makes it

    To phrase it as RUSSIAN being the only language requirement to raise the rating means you don't even care about other languages;
    What about Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Bengali? These languages are all more popular than Russian. Why are specifically Russians bombing this review?

    Absolute stunning game on Series X. Running at 120 the gameplay is soooo smooth. The story is engaging and keeps you guessing as you unravel secret plots and twists. A must buy this summer and holiday

    One of the best platformer out there with actual meaningful content and not just mindless jumping and smashing boxes like some recent games in the genre. Collecting stuff in a game never felt this satisfied mLove the art style, color pallet, writing and music so much. Tim's best work.

    I didn’t play the original but I don’t think I need to to know that this is an amazing game. Some may not like the art style but I works with the goofy humor and and fun narrative. The gameplay is smooth and fun once you get used to it. I love the upgrade system and the funny random dialogue you get. This game is truly a must play!!!

    This game is simply amazing I’m about 4ish hours in and I must say the creative themes as well as the level design in this game is top tier. Also pretty sickening seeing the butt hurt review bombing surrounding this game it’s very unfortunate that a genuinely great game is being attacked for no other reason than who owns Double Fine.     I can't believe there are people who are low enough to review bombed this game. It reminds me of a certain fanbase of a specific console. Others rated it for dumb reasons like "No Russian language". Anyway, the gameplay, graphics, characters, and story is all top tier. I genuinely believe that this game is a GOTY contender.

    Backed this game during the campaign because I loved the original so much. Played on my ps5 and absolutely loved it. Reminded me of when I was in high school playing the original. Absolutely worth the time and one of the best games I have played in a long time.

    Es un buen juego, entretenido, pero no recomiendo esta pagina ya que no es 100% legitima la critica de las personas como las calificaciones, por que aun no teniendo el juego ni a verlo jugado puedes criticar en su contra, Recomiendo irse a Steam ahí solo pueden opinar los que obtuvieron el juego y lo jugaron. ahí podrán ver una critica autentica del juego.

    This game is amazing. 10/10 without any questions or answers. Characters, their development, gameplay, combat, pacing, story, visual style, level designs, everything is just perfect. This game is 100% worth your time and you WILL NOT regret it. Now, to why this game has such a low rating - the answer's simple, 90% of negative reviews are either sony butthurts that review bombed the gameThis game is amazing. 10/10 without any questions or answers. Anyway, ignore the low rating, assume the lower it is, the more sony butthurts are crying about the fact xbox has a better game ;)… Expand

    Psychonauts 2 managed to restore my faith in the genre of 3D platformers. This is a creative volcano spewing ideas left and right - it can make you laugh, it can make you cry, it can make you think. And it will definitely make you have fun.

    Psychonauts 1 is the perfect example of the term cult classic, and Psychonauts 2 has created another masterpiece that I am only assuming won’t receive the attention it deserves. They have perfected and expanded on their original idea in every way and created a world full of heart and fun. It’s been well documented that the last few years it took to bake were used to expand the boss battles, and finely polish the areas that were complete. It’s clear that the added funds from being a Microsoft studio were put to good use and the team at Double Fine should be very proud of what they have created. I cannot wait to see what they create next.
