    The plot of this game feels like an enormous step back from World Seeker. I don't mind side characters being relevant or just appearing so long as the main story doesn't hammerfist nostalgia down my throat. Odyssey takes 4 of the largest chunks over 20 years of One Piece and just DRAAAAGS.

    Luffy feels really really slowed down after the previous game (World Seeker). Movement and exploration suffer greatly. It is nice to be able to utilize the other crewmates, but no Jinbe feels like a huge miss.

    Battle system itself is interesting, but the turn based combat of a JRPG really DOESN'T do One Piece justice. More action elements or a system like FF7R would be considerably more engaging.    … Expand

    Fun JRPG, if not a little simple in it's mechanics. A must play for fans of One Piece who are looking for a relaxing game to play.

    I used to have this game, One Piece Odyssey Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS".I used to have this game, One Piece Odyssey Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS. I literally cant even sign into my account to access offline content, its ALL GONE thanks to an Abusive system MS lets auto-handle, the first miss steps of "AI". Buyers BEWARE.… Expand

    Seria impossível eu não dar 10 pra esse jogo , vale muito a pena os gráficos estão lindo no Xbox séries , e também q história , o gameplay sao o destaque estou muito contente em poder jogar esse game a exploração dele é incrível parabéns , jogo excelente .

    One Piece Odyssey is just more or less, like Mehhhh, it has somethings good here and there, but has a lot of problems to. I really think that one piece deserves a better game in the future. Maybe a fight game? Like The Ninja storm saga.

    While I did enjoy ONE PIECE ODYSSEY as an introduction to ONE PIECE, and the general gameplay was enjoyable, I did end up getting a little tired and bored of the general repetitive nature. That being said, that's probably just a 'me' thing. If you're a fan of the show you'll likely really enjoy it for its authenticity. I do think it's a solid enough rpg but I wouldn't say I'm in love with it quite yet.

    Where Odyssey takes the top spot are the turn-based battles. The familiar skills of the Straw Hats are put to full use in a simple but highly effective system of rock, scissors, paper. Luffy's Gum Gum attacks, Nico Robin's many arms, Usopp's hilarious weapons and Franky's blinding nipples, they rarely looked so stunning and never get boring.

    I enjoyed my time with One Piece Odyssey enough to join my sons in watching the anime. The Straw Hats crew themselves are a great group, I enjoyed the camaraderie and the jokes (even though I didn’t catch all of them). They care for one another just like any good family does and it was a touching story to see. Aside from the combat feeling overly easy for a good portion of the game, and the UI issues I would recommend One Piece Odyssey to fans of the series and non-fans alike. Especially if you are a fan of JRPG’s, this one has it all for you.
