Nov 18, 2024Though it’s not a revolution as much as an evolution, NBA 2K25 easily justifies its price tag. There’s still grinding, leveling, and more side quests than Skyrim. but it all seems more accessible and approachable than in years past, while also being more realistic and beautiful than ever before.

Sep 12, 2024With NBA 2K25 Visual Concepts has managed to merge the old and the new, improving on historical features and introducing new features that make the game even more addictive, complete and accessible to all. The excellent Career mode, the most realistic gameplay ever, the top-notch technical department and the very high level of simulation make it a game to be purchased without hesitation, by veterans and newbies alike.

Sep 14, 2024While we felt a real leap forward between the 2022 and 2023 installments, the progression is much less dazzling this season with NBA 2K25. Only the most regular players of the license will be able to see certain new animations and the fine new features of a gameplay that is not revolutionary. The fact remains that the title is largely at the level of its generation, and is finally progressing on its usually shaky matchmaking with a few parades (the online Proving Ground mode). For those discovering the game, NBA 2K25 is a real gold mine, with single-player content further expanded with the Curry era for the My NBA mode and other immersive additions. The shadow on the board remains the micro-transaction system (VC) in individual marking of the wallet, essential to progress properly.

Sep 9, 2024NBA 2K25 is the best the series has ever been on the court. This is slick and addictive stuff with improved passing and defending, hundreds more animations and a ton of big modes to sink your teeth into. Eras is a standout again, it's great to see the women's game included, and fans of digging deep into stats and shoes, badges and builds will be more than happy. We'd love to slap a higher score on here, we really would, but there's gotta be a penalty for such egregious and constant microtransaction badgering when players have already coughed up a bunch of cash for the game.

Sep 24, 2024Is it a bad thing that it's a very similar game to last year's? Not at all, as this is a very good sports game. Perhaps the best representative of basketball in history , which improves on some of the flaws from last year, such as the reintroduction of the MyTeam auction house. But the gameplay improvements are so profound that only the most "tryhard" players will really benefit from them. More traditional players or those who simply play with friends or in a relaxed manner may not even notice, because after all, the system remains the same.

Sep 24, 2024NBA 2K25 is an improvement from last year, but still suffers from most of the same self-inflicted issues. The over-bearing presence of microtransactions does the great on-court gameplay a disservice.

Sep 24, 2024I’ve genuinely lost hope in this franchise. With the mix of VC shills, content creators that overhype a garbage product, outlets praising the word vomit stew that the player base eats up every year – at least the ones with deep wallets – and the F2P tactics in a paid game, NBA 2K will more than likely never return to its glory days that I loved. I’m tired of repeating myself and I’m tired of having expectations go below the bar, like it wasn’t low enough. Every single year it’s “a step in the right direction.” No, it’s not. I stopped settling for less and everyone else should too. NBA 2K25 is a basketball game but feels like a grindy RPG with heavy predatory practices at play. An utter disappointment. Save your money and play a better game.
