Jan 31, 2025It takes some time for all of the mechanics to really make sense due to the poor tutorials, but once it does, Metal Slug Tactics goes from being a frustrating experience to a challenging but very rewarding once. Even being turn-based, it feels like a true Metal Slug game, and while I wasn’t sure how the genre change was going to turn out, it’s clear much care and effort went into not only making a great game on its own, but also keeping core fans in mind with a creative spin-off. Mission Start!

Nov 26, 2024There are certain aspects that the game's developers should polish, such as the localization and the level of demand, which is quite high even for veterans of the genre. Despite this, we are faced with an entertaining experience, which is worthwhile and which, although modest in some points, is rewarding and invites us to continue forward. A recommendable title, whether or not you are a fan of the saga, which is attractive enough to give it a chance.

Nov 21, 2024Although its combat and iconic visuals are excellent, the harsh roguelike setup of Metal Slug Tactics is both unnecessary and a hindrance to the amount of fun that you'll get out of the experience. On the bright side, its clever bosses certainly pose memorable challenges.
