Jun 1, 2022The story and world are interesting enough to keep you going through to the end. The combats gets rather repetitive fast with lots of weak/useless cards and very small variation of enemies.
Date Completed: 2022-06-01
Playtime: 12h
Enjoyment: 6/10
Recommendation: I could go either way. -

Sep 18, 2021Story, voice acting, gameplay, level design, everything is top notch. At first the gameplay might trick you into thinking it's very slow paced, specially since there is no jump, but you get used to it in a second. Highly recommended.

Jan 1, 2022This game right here, is absolutely special!! It may not be for some. But anyone who has played any games from the late 90s to early 2000s, this is throwback to those games. And wow! I love this game! It's easily one of my favorite games to come out in 2021.

Jul 20, 2023I was very much into everything this game seemed to be. Loved the art style, loved the atmosphere, loved the vibes. But the gameplay lets it down big time. It's clunky and just doesn't feel very intuitive. I honestly feel like this game would be better with less actual combat.

Mar 7, 2023Gorgeous graphics and style, lush music, fascinating and imaginative world, great voice acting and genuinely unique? This is top tier gaming at its best. More of this please, especially in a world of generic humdrum games.

Edge MagazineOct 9, 2021It's worth rolling on to the end, but you might find yourself wishing it had more of the concision of its cinematic inspirations, rather than the drag of a family game of monopoly. [Issue#364, p.123]

Oct 6, 2021Lost in Random is a very unique game. It has great writing and some of the best art direction of the year. However, the combat system plays a risky gamble that I don't feel quite works out in the game's favour.

Sep 28, 2021Lost in Random is a unique mix between a card game and an action/adventure game. The development of the universe and the plot takes a little while to get started, but once you meet Par and his unexpected companions, you start to fall in love with his story in this strange world of Burtonian style. And we can not forget the humor that shines constantly, and the visual and sound section that does not disappoint. Its main problem is that the AI is not very challenging, and it lacks more variety in the cards.
