    An amazingly fresh take on the sports/shooter/fighter genre. Like Rocket League, it doesn’t fit into one descriptor. Crisp stylized cartoon graphics on Xbox Series X, and an amazing customization system with nothing locked to gender. $20, which is a steal given the price includes: all future or current battle passes for seasons, personal leveling, competitive, rotating items in the shop,An amazingly fresh take on the sports/shooter/fighter genre.     Don’t Doge this one forever
    Knockout city is a competitive 3v3 or 1v1 dodgeball game, and first things first.. I love how much customizable options you have for a competitive hero game.. you can craft your own and unlock new cosmetics as you play.. it isn’t super detailed, but the amount of choices is appreciated.. Where the game is lacking though is in its actually    Knockout City

    Where the game is lacking though is in its actually gameplay content..
    I love knockout city.. I am a sucker for dodgeball games.. at first you hve a typical 3v3 mode, youre put into a random map, and youre given a random special ball each time,,, annnd it’s the first team to score 10 knockouts 2 times wins, you run, automatically grab a ball, and youre off, holding down the trigger to target and smack your opponent to knock them out, but it isn’t all that simple.. there is a bit of skill and strategy to be had here as youre able to tackle eachother and knock the ball out of their hands, or make them defenseless for your teammate to hit them, as you are bale to catch a ball and lob it back.. timing this right can make for really great moments, I was having an absolute blast working my way up to rank 5 and unlock the other 3 modes, a 3 v 3 party mode where every ball is a special ball, a 1 vs 1 mode with a circle closing in on you where there are no special alls, and a kill confirmed type 3v3 where you grab diamonds of fallen opponents to tiher score for your team and stop the other team from scoring…
    Kncokout Citys biggest downfall though is that it has a free to play mentality without being free to play..
    Theyre expected to add more content with as seasons go on, but the 5 maps we get now get boring fairly quickly… I was over this game after about maybe only 3 hours of play time…
    on top of that I feel like we need at least a 5 v 5 in a larger world, with more ball drops… too often I found myself just searching for a ball to go help out my teammates…
    Overall I had a really great time with knockout city, this game can be a blast..
    I would jsu hold off for future seasons when this game gets more padded out…

    e-sport muy divertido para jugar con amigos al "quemado" o "balon prisionero" con pelotas con efectos, saltos especiales y mapas muy originales. Muy recomendable

    This game is highly addictive! Gameplay loop is extremely well done, customization is fun too! My GF and I have been addicted since launch last year. Give it a shot!

    BRING YOUR FRIENDS! –
    The base 3v3 gametype is equally fun with randoms and also friends. With friends, you can of course coordinate better, but sometimes you just want a fun unranked dodgeball game, to both work with potential new friends to win and also show them up to become the MVP. It's also incredibly easy to make friends with recent players. Communication is simplistic but surprisingly effective. Though there's no quick command to call for backup when you're outnumbered, or when you've spotted an enemy, you can coordinate with attacks and passing. Small things like passing to level up your ball and coordinating a strike with team players.

    VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF DODGEBALL. –
    There are a variety of dodgeball gametypes that rotate on a weekly basis (Think like Splatoon, but because everything lasts a week rather than a day it's a lot easier to do what you want to do). There are both team games and free for alls, so keep a lookout for what cool events there are on the week you're playing.

    LEVEL UP AND STYLE UP! –
    This is a season pass game, but the season pass is free. That means you get a good feeling of progression constantly as you gain experience, and earning a reward at each level. The rewards can be the game's currency that you can spend at the 24-hour rotating shop, or they can be cosmetics for your character (You can instantly flip between 3 character designs if you can't settle on one) or even your profile. As far as I've seen, each player gets different unlocks for each level as they're randomly assigned (And sorted from the usual uncommon to legendary rarity). That means after the first round, it's going to be incredibly rare that you'll encounter another player that looks like you. Unless of course, for maximum threat, you and your crew don the same look.

    CREWS –
    Make a crew with your friends and work together to earn additional challenges to net XP and currency. These challenges can include ones specifically where you play with teammates, or you can just play solo and contribute to the team counters for a weekly challenge such as "Get 100 KOs". If your crew accomplished this task at the beginning of the week without you and you log in at the end of the week before the new week rolls in, you reap the rewards too! You will have your own team insignia which glows on the back of your jacket, and a specific car design that always drops your team off to the battlefield, all for the sake of style.

    BOTTOM LINE –
    It's free till level 25. It's absolutely worth trying it out, and if you like it, it's absolutely worth supporting the developer for a fun game. If you have Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, it's entirely free, so there's definitely no excuse to not pick it up.    … Expand

    Knockout City it's a game full of personality and let you make a lot of fun. I never experienced something like this. So the high score is mainly for this. It lacks a bit of some map, but I'm confident that EA will deliver new contents very soon.

    Fun for maybe 30 minutes.
    The game gets boring really fast because there is like no real way to achieve something. You just play match after match for nothing. Nice little time waster but nothing more.

    I got this game with game pass. I play mostly with friends or with my son so when i lose he takes over etc. Simple game nice gameplay lots of fun

    solid concept. though the animations are a bit meh, and the gameplay isnt too hot, too repetetive

    Knockout City is basic on the surface but its core mechanics are able to provide so much fun that you may well struggle to put it down. It’s got all the fundamentals right and with just a bit more content added in, this could be something really special. If you’re looking for a unique spin on the competitive multiplayer angle, it’s absolutely worth a look.

    There are few games that have ever made me scream in anger or shout with unbridled joy as often as Knockout City and I absolutely can’t stop playing. It’s a near-perfect team multiplayer game packed with strategy, heart, and an incredibly impressive level of polish. Even if it’s a bit buggy and lacking in content at the moment, I can’t recommend it enough.

    Knockout City is easily one of the most pleasant surprises so far this year, managing to turn a game of dodgeball into an addictive and high-octane multiplayer brawl with a unique Zeerust twist in its aesthetics and silky smooth gameplay that anyone can get into. Hopefully it still ends up being a success after the current trial period, because it would be amazing to see just how massive and fun of a city Velan Studios can eventually make.
