I've been playing this on both my Series X and my Series S. The Graphics and Overall performance is just incredible. The Action, Story, and Voice Acting for both the Japanese Dub and the English Dub are very impressive. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys detective games and dense stories. L.A. Noire in Modern-Day Japan. SEGA Really Impressed me with this Game.

Basically a slightly modernized, but also watered-down version of Yakuza. All the new Detective mechanics feel very hollow and superficial, they are basically "nothing mechanics" in that they just take up time but aren't really fun or challenging. The worst offender, of course, are the tailing missions, which are incredibly boring, happen way too often, and go on for waaaaaaay too long.Basically a slightly modernized, but also watered-down version of Yakuza. All the new Detective mechanics feel very hollow and superficial, they are basically "nothing mechanics" in that they just take up time but aren't really fun or challenging. The worst offender, of course, are the tailing missions, which are incredibly boring, happen way too often, and go on for waaaaaaay too long.

Also, the well-known Yakuza insanity and zaniness has been dialed waaaaaaay down, so the side quests are way more grounded now, and hence, not as funny or interesting. Many of the more colourful side activities such as karaoke, dancing, and the phone club are also missing without any new ones to make up for their absence. Drone racing is also a poor substitute for the Pocket Racer circuit, it just doesn't have the same charm.

The graphics are good, especially characters and their clothing. The music is nothing special IMO and also very repetitive, but that seems to be series standard.

The fighting mechanics aren't especially intricate, but are pretty well-executed and satisfying for the most part, except that you can't equip weapons anymore and only have two fighting styles. But there are WAY too many random encounters when running through Kamurocho, which really gets annoying over time and made me kind of sick of the combat over time. This gets even worse with the introduction of the Keihin gang mechanic, where the encounter rate is EVEN HIGHER than normal until enough time passes or you defeat the gang bosses. This might've been a fun idea to shake things up once in a while, but, as it is, it just happens way too freqeuently and thus gets very annoying over time.

The story is, without a doubt, the highlight of the game, although, for my personal taste, the story-telling could've been a little more efficient. I'd estimate that about half of your playthrough will be spent watching cutscenes or reading dialogue, which is just too much IMO. But the characters and their motivations are very well-written and the plot is captivating (although some moments really require quite a lot of suspension of disbelief/logic).

All in all, almost everything good here comes from the usual Yakuza formula or maybe a slight modernization of it, and almost everything that's not so good is the new stuff Judgment added. If you liked the other Yakuza games, you're going to like Judgment, too, but don't exactly expect a game on par with e.g. Yakuza 0.

Amazing game. Nice graphics, solid framerate, many voiced dialogs and audio options (languages/ subtitles).
Besides, the story is captivating, characters well build, all of the sidequests are scenarized (no Fedex) and the side game is just so thick. The main forces here are the story and the staging, it felt like a perfect blend of martial arts, detective and yakuza movie.

This was my first entry in the Yakuza universe and that was not the least.

This is a great port of the PS4 game from 2019. The textures are much improved, the 60fps feature is exquisite and really fun gameplay. Highly recommended this.

Just finished it with almost 40 hours and doing most content. The gameplay was fun, the characters were well written, and the story was one of the best in a game in a long time. The visuals on series x were also stunning and the frame rate fantastic. Cannot recommend enough. Stoked for the sequel!

Main story is great and the action/fighting is fun and enjoyable. Running around Kamurocho is lots of fun. The detective bits are hit and miss. And in general most of the side quests/jobs felt generic and bland. Graphics/Performance were great on the X. Looking forward to playing Lost Judgment soon!

Judgement is by far one of the better entries in the Yakuza franchise. It is a gritty detective story, with a killer in it that is legitimately scary, thanks to the performances. The Dragon Engine getting a boost from the new generation of consoles shows how Judgement was meant to be played, with extremely short load times and buttery smooth 60 frames per second that is unwavering. Judgement may be second to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but being second to the best is a great place to be.

Thanks to faster loading times, more stable frame rate and better visuals, now could be a great time to play this Yakuza spin off.

Judgment for Xbox Series is the definitive edition of Judgment, where we will experience the adventures of ex-lawyer Takayuki Yagami in search of a serial killer through the streets of Kamurocho with his trusty sidekick Kito. A title that shares great similarities with the Yakuza saga, as both have been developed by Ryu ga Gotoku Studio.
