    This a tremendously fun large scale team based battle in a spectacular setting. Slower paced than battlefield 2042, which takes some getting used to, and less complex, yet far more interesting, with genuine team play, a real sense of dynamic battles with attack and counterattack. Isonzo has a pacing and coherence that should send AAA studios a wake-up call as to what makes this kind ofThis a tremendously fun large scale team based battle in a spectacular setting.     It is a disgrace how M2H and Blackmill Games disrespected Slovenians by completely ignoring us and our history of being constantly attacked, killed, genocided and tried to be deleted from history by every neighbouring nation, especially also Italy. One does not simply rename all geography Slovene names into Italian names because it seams more convenient for marketing! This just shows howIt is a disgrace how M2H and Blackmill Games disrespected Slovenians by completely ignoring us and our history of being constantly attacked, killed, genocided and tried to be deleted from history by every neighbouring nation, especially also Italy. One does not simply rename all geography Slovene names into Italian names because it seams more convenient for marketing! This just shows how stupidly ignorant and disrespectful the people at M2H and Blackmill Games are. Would you also go and rename all French geographic names into German in a WWII game like France doesn't even exist? Your people actually visited these places in Slovenia and still act like we don't exist?! Wow! What is this, did Italy bribe you to promote their fascist tendencies or are you just happy to support one sided genocidal versions of history?… Expand

    I would recommend Verdun or Tannenberg for a similar but more refined experience.

    WW1 Verdun was very good. It was bare bones but it was intense and addictive. Isonzo is too complicated for its own good.

    As much as you can when you find yourself replaying the Great War, Isonzo can be enjoyable. The realistic and authentic attention to detail and area focus is something to be admired, yet it is much harder than any other shooter, as you try to come to terms with tactics and the careful nature of war.

    Isonzo is a historically accurate WW1 shooter, with slow and long battles to conquer a few meters of the battlefield. Definitely an improvement over the previous games of the series, but it still needs some refinements and fixes, especially in balance and variety, to really be an unmissable game.
