Wonderful story, really fun puzzles that fit together with a well-executed gameplay loop that integrates beautifully.

Personally the only flaw is they force hints upon the player with no option to turn them off, and this defeats the player's ability to figure out some puzzles on their own. You shouldn't spoil your own puzzles with hints unless the player wants it.

Other than some awkward controls at times, Homebody has risen up the ranks to be one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences this year. The time loop/puzzle/survival horror combo is smartly put together, with a fantastic sense of progression constantly. Combined with the retro presentation and well written, engaging tale, Homebody is an easy recommendation to make.

Homebody may well take you by surprise. The writing and narrative are great, with some brilliant character creation dealing with a range of very real problems. The structure is interesting as well, even though at times you will feel at a bit of a loss for what to do.

Homebody is a cruel and gruesome homage to 80s slasher movies. With a creepy antagonist and plenty of cliched characters, this is a blast from the past. Furthermore, the excellent Groundhog Day mechanics and testing puzzles will keep you going. Sadly, though, the controls and fixed camera perspective were not that impressive.
