    This game is brilliant, like I'm completely immersed into Hogwarts and the magic world, the combat system is fun, the storyline is quite good, the map is astonishing, as a Harry Potter fans, I'm very impressed and satisfied.

    But here's few things I'm not okay with 1. The alohomora is bit too much, first few time is ok, but keep playing the unlock mini game afterward is a bit annoying 2.    This game is brilliant, like I'm completely immersed into Hogwarts and the magic world, the combat system is fun, the storyline is quite good, the map is astonishing, as a Harry Potter fans, I'm very impressed and satisfied.

    But here's few things I'm not okay with
    1. The alohomora is bit too much, first few time is ok, but keep playing the unlock mini game afterward is a bit annoying
    2. Some side quests are a bit repetitive and boring, I know is inevitable, but try to learn witcher 3, make the story of side quest funnier.
    3. The type of enemies and their mode of attack lack variety
    4. The interaction between us and npc are very few, like most of the I'm a lonewolf... I wish I can have some npc friends like Ron and Hermione
    5. The common room of the college, but not very interactive, also the playable part about college is not so many, usually appear in lines and 1 to 2 side quest only, it makes me feel like I'm a student of hogwarts only, belongs to which college is not matter to me.

    No wizard chess is ok to me, after all, is difficult to teach people play chess in game, and if the chess is easy, it will be a little dumb, if it's too difficult, it will painful to not good at chess player. And I'm really looking forward seeing how quidditch is presented, I think is not easy to make it good.

    Overall, avalance u did a good job, but keep going, don't mess up in upcoming dlc or sequel. I'm looking forward seeing London, Diagon Alley, the MoM and more.    … Expand

    Game is great, didnt have so much fun exploring since TES IV. I can only imagine what 1-2 patches maybe an addon can add on top to a already very good playerexperience.

    Also would love to explore this world on a PS VR2 in the future !!

    One of the best games I have ever played (my favourite games are Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, AC Origins). I like the whole Hoghwarts word, the graphic part and I never thought that spell fights are going to be such fun ;)

    About 2 hours in, and I'm loving it. Not a huge Harry Potter fan, but am very much into this game . Great game mechanics, fun storyline and some good puzzles. Great RPG.

    We all have to put out there for this studio to know: This game is so **** good! The love and hard work that I am seeing is mindblowing! I literally lost myself exploring the castle, didn't know where I was, from where I came, but was a feeling of lost that I didn't experienced with a game for like 5 years.     You finally feel like you can be apart of this amazing world. One of the best RPGs iv played in many years. This could be the next big gaming RPG franchise world if they continue in this creative and open direction.

    I do not usually play single player games, but so far I have had a ton of fun with this game. I do not really consider very many things outside of the game. Just from a perspective of "did I have fun playing the video game?" yes, very much so. There is a ton of content to explore, there are a ton of other great features about the game, and it's great.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall Hogwarts Legacy could have been worse. It has a good foundation, good graphic and stable fps, BUT a lot of stuff is just missing. There is no Companion System like they said. You can't take NPC's with you on Adventure. You can't interact with NPC's when you meet them in Hogwarts. You can't go drink a Butterbeer, play Wizards Chess or Gobstone. You only interact with the NPC's when they have a Quest for you. All the fun stuff Hogwarts has like Halloween, Yule Ball or Christmas and even Quiddich is not in the game. There are only 4 main Enemies: Humans, Spiders, Goblins or Trolls. Sometimes you see some Wolfes or the Swamp Creatures but they are only in the Open World and never in Quests. A big mistake are the unforgivable curses! The first you get in a mission and it has a reason you learn it but the others are just like: hey I can learn it to you. You can cast them infront of your Professors without a reaction and the whole game is build about saving Ann what you could at the end if you are evil but well you can't because the game ends before and the quest is suddenly over. Anne is gone! The lessions are cutscenes and you are more outside of hogwarts than really in school. No consequences about that either. There is also no NG+ or anything that would male the game worthy of a second playtrough. It is just said!… Expand

    Wasn't a huge Potter fan before playing but have become one. The first 30 hours which you're spending a huge amount of time in the castle was pure magic and found it brilliant. The second half of the game out in the world was less spectacular but still good fun. A bit repetitious.

It is perfect for casual play where a 20 minute session still keeps you engaged, even if it’s just exploring or completing a side mission. I have it installed on PC, Steam Deck and XBSX and it scales and plays great on allThis is a masterpiece and a labour of love by Avalanche.     After all the hype surrounding Elden Ring (which I never bought or played because it just didn’t appeal to me as a world and visuals looked disappointing, and the gameplay far too hardcore), finally we have a game whose hype is actually justified.

    It reminds me of the first Fable game but is more free and open, richer and more rewarding. It’s like the Fable I’ve always wanted to play. I’m not really a massive Harry Potter fan, but you don’t need to be. Just play this to appreciate the artistry of the devs and their passion for the project.     Hands down one of the best games I have played in years. The dedication of the developers to the world/lore is amazing, the graphics are phenomenal, and the story is excellently executed. If anything the only thing I would wish for is more of it!

    Life has been absolute garbage lately, so it's been nice to escape into a pretty decent game for a couple of weeks. Yes, JK Rowling is garbage,but so is the company that makes your phone using slave labor, or the multi conglomerate that makes your food using land they stole from some Latin American country in the 50s while paying their field workers 25 cents a day.     Hogwarts Legacy is a blast to play. This is a game where I felt compelled to just do everything. It took me a long time to beat the main story since I was getting so distracted by the side missions. Playing as a wizard is so much fun. My only complaint is on the enemy variety. Hay 35 coleccionables (aka pruebas de Merlín/pergaminos/muebles) por metro cuadrado en el mapa, y cada 10 minutos tienes que ir a vender porque se te ha llenado el inventario con 15 piezas de equipo ¡LEGENDARIAS, WOW! que nuncaEl juego cansa, se hace largo y repetitivo. El 90% de las misiones secundarias son clónicas: ve a una tumba, mazmorra o campamento (todos idénticos) y mátalo todo.     The story is very decent, although not memorable, the game has more emphasis on the interaction of the player with the world and how the world reacts to the player. The combat system is very dynamic, while it does not cause difficulties in mastering, a sufficiently large number of spells that can be combined with each other. For fans of "sandboxes" there is a corner where you can spend a long time creating your own world inside a common universe.

    Why is the rating not 10? There is no Quidditch or co-op in the game. Let's hope that they will appear in the DLC, which, although not announced, but which I personally hope for!    … Expand

    Finished the game and did all the side quests with a few achievements left to get at 57 hours of play time. This game did an amazing job of bringing to life the world of Harry Potter that many people grew up with in the books and movies. The combat is simple but very fun and makes you feel great juggling and destroying enemies with tons of cool combinations with spells. The story and side stories are great near the end it really felt like I was playing 4 different interesting stories even after the end of the main story. The crafting system is nice but could be improved. The game does a great job of giving the player choice from choosing their house to creating a room of requirement or how the place that they keep their beasts looks.
    There is a lack of enemy variety and that does get a little boring. Another thing is the Merlin trials feel a bit too numerous, as well as the treasure vaults which would have been better if they had been fewer in number and more complex with actual loot worth getting. The world is great when it loads, a large number of times it would take 5 minutes for stuff to load in which I've never had happen in any game I played. Overall, this game it great and nails the harry potter school student experience that I love in the movies but could be improved gameplay wise.    … Expand

Pros: The plot is good, the combat is fantastic, the exploration and freedom is top notch. I love the soundtrack and the visuals are good, though the character models seem last Gen. Le pire étant le mode 4k dynamique et 40-50 fps pour ceux qui ont une tv 120htz qui est totalement loupé. Le mode Fidélité 4k natif 30fps est bien meilleur, c'est un comble.

    Je regrette aussi que l'open world soit aussi guidé, c'est le syndrôme "ubisoft like" comme on dit. Tout est fléché, archi facile à trouver et c'est dommage (je précise que j'ai fait le jeu à 100%). J'aurais adoré aussi que les choix de dialogues aient une véritable influence sur le scénario principal, ou l'utilisation des sorts impardonnables par exemple.

    Quoiqu'il en soit on passe un bon moment sur le jeu, il m'aura fallu 52h pour en voir le bout en le faisant à fond. Mes enfants adorent et ne décrochent pas, preuve que le jeu a touché sa cible.    … Expand

    Simply gorgeous. Breath taking atmosphere, really feels like being inside the movies. Smooth and stimulating gameplay, the combat system is majestic!! People who gave it zero because it's not working on their device are lying like the ones who gave it zero because of politics against JK Rowling, you are just pathetic and dishonest.

    The open world felt empty and the characters were badly written and acted. Hogwarts had so much potential but it was undetailed and felt like a chore to walk through. The gameplay was very good but it didn’t make up for everything else wrong with the game.

I don't care what the people who believe JK Rowling is a bad person say about this game, because she's already a zillionaire and so it makes no difference, and all of those people are just ridiculous enough to believe cancel culture and not actually do any research for themselves. I honestly think that the little visual glitches and stuff at launch are fine due to the fact that this, yet again, is Avalanche, so it's going to have some issues, and since there is a site dedicated to report bugs on the first page of the game's website, they should absolutely have all the bugs fixed within the first month with ease. I think that if the game gets a nice dlc to build playerbase, then it can keep that already massive playerbase for even longer than any other open world games. For a massive fan of the franchise (the books in particular) it is a dream come true and I recommend it to anyone who is, or ever has been a fan of the books/movies (but mainly the books since that's what they based the castle design off of).

    This game is what any RPG fan of magic crave!
    I will leave it simply here, try the game, love it, enjoy it, live it up.

    Excellent game in all regards. Lots of lore from the books. Mini-games are a lot of fun. Much care was taken in crafting a beautiful environment full of creative details. Reminded me both of The Witcher 3 and the old Zelda games, but at Hogwarts. The developers and product team that worked on this game deserve a ton of praise.

    Unfortunately I can only give this game a 5. It was great up until about the 50% mark when it became a glitchy mess and I couldn't start dialogue with NPCs. Made bug report but nothing has been done.

    You might grow tired of the combat but that is nothing compared to the beauty and detail of hogwarts itself.

    After 58.5 hours I have completed Hogwarts Legacy. With quests that feel engaging and a world that feels totally alive I had such a hard time wanting to finish, I just wanted to explore. So many spells and spell combination made it so fun to experiment. All in all 9/10 experience And most definitely would play again!

    This game is an absolute game of the year candidate. I couldn’t find this much joy in a videogame since Breath of the Wild. And this is coming from someone who never read the books or watched any of the movies (but I’ll certainly now).

    BEST GAME IVE PLAYED EVER, MOST LIKELY…thought same thing when first played Arkham City on ps4, I love open world 3rd person, but this world is sooooo immerse and detailed its ridiculous…ALSO, SOOOOOO MANY side missions and things to be done hidden within areas like the forbidden forest or places like that….ITS A MUST BUY FOR EVERYONE!!!!!

Finished the main part of the game, also did a bunch of side quests; I loved it, can't say I care about all the PC and politics;that being said. I played the game and judged it on that merit-being a game- well done to WB-avalanche and portray games;looking forward to the sequel-I'll definitely pre-order again

    Story was fine, but what got me were all the little detailed things put in, not necessarily any gameplay mechanism but rather small nods and fan-service.

    This game is wonderful! The immersion is in-depth and the quests never seem to get repetitive, The graphics and soundtrack are astounding and I love it. The controls are intuitive and I never feel frustrated playing this game. The puzzles are also really good!

    I also love the inclusivity the game has with LGBTQ+ characters and characters with disabilities

    This game is really good. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and really looked forward to playing it and I am really happy I did. The open world is stunning and the castle itself is really big and beautifully made. I have played like 30 hours and it's already a GOTY for me.

    Solid overall and most issues are nitpicks for the most part. A solid and fun game to not take to seriously. Unfortunately the weakest part of the game might be the main quest line but the side quest and combat make up for it.

Theirs a few things that leave you feeling like they had to leave things on the cutting room floor, Maybe they were glitchy, unfinished etc. What i appreciate most is this is the first game I've preordered in years that at least feels complete as a Triple A title.

    Fun factor is a 10/10 for me.

    Suggestions: Make NPCs a bit more interactable, morality system, id love multiplayer but its not make or break. Make the housing choice more valuable for certain perks or trade offs. Also make the menu a bit smoother to transition. The movement feels sluggish in it.    … Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy is littered with small niggles which, when stacked together, make the game feel like it was released over a decade ago. While the castle is a large enough area to explore, the monotony of repeating quests and tasks makes the game feel last-generation and boring over time. Hogwarts Legacy could already use some DLC's in order to expand the size of the world, add more complex spells, and introduce a wider array of enemies. If you are a power-nerd looking for a new and complete RPG, you will have to wait for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, coming in April 2023. While most critics agree that Hogwarts Legacy is near perfect, due to the incomplete feeling of the game and lack of a solid story arc, it feels more Muggle than magic.

In the vast open world, which makes it possible to explore popular locations and live like a typical Hogwarts student, you will face interesting challenges in the path of unraveling the main mystery of the game. Even though it's an exciting adventure, even a muggle like me manages, at a certain point, to miss a greater magic to deliver everything that the fans expected.
